Wow, I remember this gig. LIT were first on stage and everyone went crazy. They sold every copy of their first album in the tent within minutes after their set ending. They were a highlight! Great memories!!!

Lit were first on that day, it's got to be the biggest crowd for the first band on at Reading ever!

They were the first band on of the day as well! Can't beat the Reading festival crowd at times. Search for LostProphets playing Last Train Home at reading 2004 for another example of a supreme crowd. It doesn't matter if you like the band/song or not, the crowd is just mindblowing.

Nu metal is actually still pretty popular. Staind debuted at #5 in 2011, while Evanescence debuted at #1 that same year with 127k copies sold in the first week. I would think Lit is rock which is still popular. But people don't really make good music like this anymore. :/

Stain'd deserted the genre though, they were popular after it died, and Evanescence aren't nu metal. Bands like Taproot, they're all dead.

Pop Punk dominated until 2005? Nu Metal killed it in 2001 and even that was dead by 2005.

Not true, Blink 182, Sum 41, New Found etc were all on top of the world in 01/02 with chart topping albums
