Black / Red: The Double Album is OUT NOW!

"Gamblers at a roulette table looking to double their money traditionally face the choice of putting it all on black or red. And on Black / Red, their landmark 12th album, Feeder also go for a high-stakes double: 18 tracks, two “discs” and one raised middle finger to today’s supposedly TikTok-ravaged short attention spans.
Luckily, if there’s any band that could be described as a sure thing, it’s probably Feeder. There’s barely been a misstep across those dozen records and while this trilogy-concluding follow-up to 2022’s excellent Torpedo is certainly ambitious, Grant Nicholas and Taka Hirose emerge with their high-rolling reputations enhanced.
The ’Black’ disc continues Torpedo’s hard-rocking renaissance, the tightly wound classic rock riffing of Playing With Fire and the expansive, cinematic landscape of ELF striking a charming juxtaposition with the irresistible pop rush of Hey You. ‘Red’ isn’t quite as heavy, but it’s just as intense, stuffed with Feeder’s ’00s trademark: melody-drenched, emotive alternative-rock anthems such as Sleeping Dogs Lie, Unconditional and Here Comes The Hurricane.
Feeder are still more than capable of springing a surprise - lord alone knows what odds you’d have got on the poignant Soldiers Of Love sporting a bagpipes intro, 30 years after they first blasted out of South Wales. But as that song rails against a world 'When you feel nothing is real', you’ll realise that - whether you have time to hear these songs all together or listen to them in splendid isolation - Black / Red is an authentic representation of a great band in full, long-distance flight.
And, if you’re looking for a band to keep it real in a world of fakes, you could do a lot worse than to put it all on Feeder."

He had that mid-90s American alt-rock sound/feel to his playing, which I felt the band missed after he passed, as it complemented their sound. For instance, Jon could have easily slotted into Texas Is The Reason or somebody!

He started playing drums very young & already an excellent drummer by 11--12! He was a very warm, very sweet & kind person! The nicest in the business for sure! Many of musicians seem down to earth & very friendly ,but I know so many of them & they are not really nice people ,no morals , so much egos despite their friendliness. Jon was a GEM, A REAL GOOD GUY! He was BEAUTIFUL INSIDE OUT ,NO TWISTED,OR TRICKY LIKE OTHERS.A REAL HONEST PERSON. I MISS HIM CRAZY.Please remember Jon,never forget this incredible man!

@@InterstateDrive I've already been harrassed by many ,so I can't say much .I met Jon through my music when I was 15 thru my EX bestfriend .Who is really a cousin of Grant's by a marriage .Their profile isn't true !! The profiles / music credits of entertainment business people are false !! Not just Feeder's . Anyway. Jon just turned 13 at the time .I asked him to play his drums in my band that I was so convinced Jon was the only one could play one of 'em I wrote !He fell in love with me for my songs( in one of 'em ,I cried & kept it that way ...those were days of cassette tapes ! I accidentally scratched off other parts ,so I kept it as it was . Also that way ,my feeling was more fresh ! Lol.) ,he begged my ex friend to give him my number .We started chatting once a week ,that became 2 times a week ( long distance. I am Japanese.),he flew over to see me ,I was his 1st crush / love . I told him that I couldn't be his girlfriend ( physical / sexual ) ,he stopped going to school for a while ,his mom Patricia yelled at me on the phone !! It wasn't fair ! I broke his heart more than twice . He thought it was a total rejction one after another. It wasn't. I told him to wait til we'd grew up & meet again. I also told him not to rush things when he was negative !! Which was his trait ! Jon was still calling me later ,from '99 to 2001. After meeting again.Til a few months before he passed away . But, I shut him out. A long story. I couldn't believe what he told me ! I got mad !! He was trying to make it up to me . I cut the ties again .Although I knew his feelings for me was real. I tried to go to see him in Japan to save him. But ,I fell back in my PTS w/ o knowing. I don't have any intention to hurt anyone's feelings ,though I am so entitled to tell the whole things. I just wanna clear his name & wishing Grant to do the right things for us ,but I guess he doesn't want . All the nonsense reported reg.his death wasn't true at all ! That's what the entertainment industry does ,as so many secrets they need to keep. It broke my heart when I learned of Jon's passing 4 years ago !! We were torn apart by the girl . And other big guys in the business whom I pissed off . She caused me PTS as she fed all the lies to Jon & made him betrayed me ! As she wanted Jon for herself & she didn't want me to succeed in the business . Jon was the only one thing/ person stood in her way .She was actually the one hooked Jon up with his wife. She went to their wedding.Jon was the last person on earth to betray me !! He regretted it throughout his life as he thought I didn't forgive him .He never lost his admiration & feelings for me. Even after those years ! All I needed was to remember of us ,I couldn't !! I just had recently regained all of my memories of us ( 2 years ago )!!! I didn't even know I had PTS . Jon was the loveliest / sweetest man I've ever met / known .He started drumming ( jazz ) very young & it was his science class ( p.s. could had been a biology ) teacher's recommendation as his therapy !! Lol. I stop talking here as I am gonna get more backlashes !! Although I've got lots to tell ! Some criticized me as an attention craver ,let me tell you ,if I was & that was my intention, I would had told these back in 2002 when Feeder was more famous ( they aren't really , more well known in U.K. ) when Jon died !! I am doing this now to get the right things done for Jon & me ! Especially Jon ! It's my turn to clear his name ! It makes me mad as Jon never laid his hand on his wife or any woman !!! I have never pretended to be as his wife !! I ALWAYS told I wasn't ! They painted the false image of Jon as a super jealous crazy man took his own life !! No !!! He was the bravest man who was trying to make it all right to clear my name & help me by doing all he could against powerful people & his own friends even !! If you knew Jon in your life ,he would had most likely been your friend for life !!! Jon was that kind of man .Thank you for asking & thank you so much for remembering JONATHAN HENRY LEE ,THE BEST ROCK DRUMMER on earth !!! And the sweetest man on earth I've ever known in my life !!! Today was Buck Roger's anniversary. He took his own life a day before the 1st anniversary.

Sadly this was the start of the Fall in ways & a New Wave of fans come 2002, I was really into Feeder but Buck Rogers was too commercial & took them away from their great material from 1997 - 1999 36:23 that's what everyone really knew in the crowd apart from a fair few who you knew the other songs.

If I tell you that Buck Rogers was not meant to be that pop ,will you believe me !? I cannot tell you all that I wanna tell you ! But ,I knew Jon since I was a teen ,on/ off ! A loo~ ng story !!! I was his crush for life & his 1st love ! He later bacame my 1st love ,but he didn't know & suffered for life as my old bestfriend got in between lied to him as she didn't want me to succeed w/ Jon in the business ( I am a singer/ song writer & Jon's dream was us to have a band together & tour the world ! He wrote so many songs for me !!! ' Seven days in the sun ' was his very 1st song he ever wrote & it was for me ,he nicknamed me ' spark '! ' purple ' is Jon's & for me as well.as his childhood promise to me ! He gave many credits to Grant as he was Jon's hero ) & she wanted Jon for herself as well ! Buck Rogers was meant to be more hard ! That's all I can tell you ! But, still very catchy ! A teenage anthem ! Do you miss old Feeder that much !? Do you feel that that kind of sound still get the radio play & everywhere ,though !? You know that it's the music industry's fault ,not really public demands ,never had been that way ! Please stay safe ! Lots of hugs to you !💜💜💜🥁🐉🎵🎤🎶💕💞
