I clicked on this in a heartbeat. The 1-2 punch of You First & Figure 8 changed my life. A true no skip album for me. I didn't listen to any other song from the album other than the title track and the rest of the album had me captivated.

Yeah, in their interview (w/ Zane Lowe?) Hayley mentioned Liar being about lying about her feelings towards Taylor bc they’ve been friends for so long.

liar literally makes me cry if i think too hard about it being about hayley lying to herself about not being in love with taylor 🥺

a truly slept-on album for this year, this is definitely paramore’s best album, they never miss 💛

This album feels very much like an evolved version of the Paramore that I used to listen to when I was a tween. Tracks like Into You, Ain't It Fun, and Hard Times felt like the band was trying to reinvent itself completely. This album is the first time I'm hearing "a new Paramore song" and not "a song by a new Paramore", you know? I like it, tickles my nostalgia in the best way.

hayley williams has been using water metaphors to describe relationships for a while now- in after laughter's "pool" she describes the relationship with her ex-husband (while they were still married) and how it was a constant drowning and hoping he wouldn't leave her sinking this time. in her first solo album, the song "dead horse" talks about his infidelities and the years she spent kind of in a daze putting up with him, the lyric being "i wake up from a dream of you holding me underwater, is it a dream or a memory? held my breath for a decade". AND FINALLY, in the same album there's a song called "crystal clear" that's referenced here in liar ("why should I deny what's all at once so crystal clear?", her trying to protect him from falling in love with her when she's been such a mess regarding love and relationships by lying and denying this thing between them) that talks about her in this new relationship with paramore's guitarist and how no matter how deep she goes into it and how scary falling in love may be after such terrible experiences with it, the water remains crystal clear.

honestly they've been so good at introducing new sounds from the band, like it happened to me with AF too. other than the fact that their lyrics never miss, at first listen you wouldn't really feel the new sound until after a couple of weeks and months even, you'll get obsessed with it for sure. there's something about paramore music that really clings onto people mentally and spiritually

This album has been constantly in my rotation since February, I absolutely adooore it!

YES, justice for Big Man, Little Dignity! It's so damn underrated but it's like my fave from the album (at least on the first few listens). And how amazing is that rasp on "no offence"?! I had a feeling you would like that song. Also happy you liked C'est Comme Ça, that song got way too much hate.

This album is the perfect blend of After Laughter and Hayley's solo project, Petals for Armor. Hayley has talked recently about having to do a lot of work in therapy to address family trauma(big man little dignity) and also to deal with her divorce. If you haven't listened to her solo stuff, giiiirl. So much feminine rage.

I loved this album. It was like we were taken through different Paramore eras. Thick skull was like a gut punch to me. 😭

Your appreciation for the bridge is something that hits SO close to home. DISPLAY VOCAL ABILITEEAAAAA and lyrics that pull at my heart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is definitely my favorite Paramore album. For me personally, it is a no skip album and I keep coming back to it. My top 3 are Running Out Of Time, Thick Skull and Big Man, Little Dignity. But, every song could be in my top 3 depending on what my mood is.

It’s my second favorite album of theirs pretty close to after laughter. Amazed at Paramore’s ability to consistently write quality and RELATABLE music. They’re definitely creating a legacy for their career and I’m so here for it.

Liar is about hayley falling for Taylor and stop sabotaging herself with her feelings because he always knew but she needed that in order for them to move on in a healthy way because hayley went through so much and her feelings for T came strong and she didn't knew what to do but it didn't need to because he waited for her and them 😢❤ they're the happiest they've ever been and I'm so proud of them. Live they do liar and crystal clear (she reference that song in liar) from her album petals For Armor back to back which are both part of their story from friends to lovers and finally being able to give everything of themselves and be happy and in between they play a clip from the movie her where hayley is basically admitting she isn't fighting her heart and feelings anymore that she loves him fully and now can be with him the way both deserve it. I cry everytime 😭

Honestly though paramore are the only ones that keep geting better and no album has ever been bad. Nobody is doing it like them

The News is my absolute favorite from this album, especially with the hard hitting chorus that sounds like old Paramore but fresh and new Yes Crave and figure 8 are in my top three

"all along we call it normal" breaks my heart every time. i have family in ukraine and it's been the scariest last few years of my life being so on edge not knowing whether or not they'll be alive tomorrow. and we're just expected to go on about our days and ignore it like it isn't a literal catastrophe happening before our eyes. like after a while, the news stopped covering ukraine because it wasn't a new, hot topic anymore. it's still happening!!!!!

I’m so happy you love Paramore and you did this video Ash. Paramore keeps getting better and better and even if they had a break they literally came out more incredible. Some people probably feel it so differently with this album but this album like you said is truly coming out in a different way to show what they’re feeling lately with life, mental health and the world. A lot of us would relate to the songs and lyrics. Been a fan of Paramore since I was 13 years old and will continue to support Paramore. Hayley Williams vocals soothes my mental health 😂. Absolutely love this album, came out right before I started my first job, so I was desperately trying to sing the songs in my head as I worked. Feels like the new production style from Haley's first two solo albums (the boys helped with the first one, the second was all Haley I believe but I'm not sure) with a much more Paramore sound. I would definitely recommend checking out Haley's solo albums if you haven't already it's Petals for Armour and Flowers for Vases respectfully. So glad you enjoyed the album! ❤
