I liked the information, however, it is a video about listening and you have to READ the words, not listen to them.

There was a link to this video in an online class I'm taking for a mental health job position. That's why I was so surprised when you said at the end that this video had been created for people in sales! lol

This was made with Powtoon. It's a web based program that has templates you can modify. I use it a lot in my elearning. Check it out!

No joke, I always thought you were NOT supposed to think of the next question while actively listening to someone speak. For me and (probably) people like me, it's hard to do both simultaneously.

That's a valid point. But it really depends on the individual. Since our brains can multi-task, and with some practice, we can use some of our thinking cycles to formulate where we want to go with our next question based on what we're hearing. Think of it this way - when you are listening to someone, don't you sometimes start forming an opinion about that person and/or what they're saying? That's a pretty common thing that we do, as humans. So, try thinking instead about what they are saying (listening versus just hearing) and processing their points, and using that to drive your next course of action, or question to ask. I hope this helps. Good luck with your selling endeavors.

@@russsalesguru Thanks for your suggestions, Russ. After I watched it, I spoke to a friend of mine who currently employs active listening in the same field of work that I'm going to be entering. He, basically, told me the same things you did. I look forward to employing them myself, and my friends are going to get practiced on until I gain proficiency.
