I worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at Lista! This is very accurate to what the product goals are. Powder coating options are quite possibly endless. American made, and the workers at our site in Holliston, Ma are proud of the product they make. They also make Mac Toolboxes.

I have customers that use Lista cabinets in the heavy manufacturing industry. Very good quality that take a beating and hold heavy items. They are well made cabinets

The fact that the powder coating is janky in the cabinets Matt showed is a defect, which should be addressed with whomever is doing that process. That wouldn’t be acceptable to me as a customer. You need to build quality into the process. I highly recommend watching Paul Akers/ Fast Cap KZread channel if you are in manufacturing-- you guys will take your cabinets from a 8/10 to a 10/10 with simple process improvements

I didn’t think I would like the white until the system was all together. Now I think it looks super clean.

Good call on the white matt. It's new while still having that OG feel/look.

I really enjoyed the grey Saber cabinets at the Harbor Hills Home because it flowed perfectly without a drastic contrast to the rest of the home. Although I absolutely love the black Sonic MSS+ cabinets, the white is aesthetically pleasing making the garage space greater despite taking up the same space. The wooden countertops in both homes give it that final touch!

That came out looking very nice. Over to the left where you have partial setup will make a nice space for a small tool cart, should you want something portable for the most commonly used tools, keeps the main tool box nice as it takes abuse instead :).

You have Lista, had Trailex, had a GT3 RS. Pretty much everything I remember other people doing on Rennlist & Garage Journal. Enjoy Matt! I think you still need to find a Made in USA tool supplier.

Samsung QN90B has Oled black levels but with much more brightness, would work well in your well lit garage. Good stuff.

@@HifiJason Lista is an industrial cabinet and holds way more weight and it will last far longer. I have Lista from 20 years ago used daily in a factory and it has been flawless with no issues. Sonic is a consumer brand

Sonic isn't really a consumer based product. It is more targeted for car dealership type facilities. Lista is made for all industries.

If the pulls were black these cabinets would be perfect. I would also cut a piece of aluminum flat stock and have it powder coated to match that one solid piece from end to end.

Nice thanks for sharing; how soon can we expect to see a Moduline array? How are the Moduline cabinets in comparison to the Lista?

I've alway thought I'd chase Moduline at some point, but their owner is stuck in the 1980s. They make less sense to me as time goes on being their are skinned aluminum, but who knows what the future brings.

Nice cabinets. I realize center block walls are obviously durable but to achieve the best look (modern) I would do smooth. Drywall gives you that modern, expensive look. When doing white cabinets I am wondering how your regular grey (harbor grey)on the walls would have looked with the cabinets? Creating some pop. Or going with pure white to match the cabinets. Always nice to try different things though.

Hey Matt, I think the cabinets look great wasn’t sure about the color at first but after seeing them assembled. like I said they look awesome especially with the wood countertop. Can’t wait to see it. you mention setting up the audio One thing that’s kind of bug me is you have the Twitter mid range towards the outside? I know those are studio monitors, and in the near field set up the tweeters mid range should be towards the outside, but with the speaker so far apart, and with a TV in the center placing the speakers with the tweeters and mids to the center should give you a better center image and also with the flanking side lockers protruding farther forward they’re probably blocking the dispersion. I would definitely give it a try unless the location of your components dictate speaker position. Just a thought can’t wait for the next one. Have a good one.

Core Studio Monitors are designed and tuned for the woofer and port to be place on the inside when in the horizontal configuration.

@@ObsessedGarage yes, I’m sure that is the case but I’m sure they were designed and tuned for near field I would give it a try. It might sound better unless it just is too big of a hassle. No worries I’m sure it sounds great. maybe it will sound a little better maybe no difference at all I doubt it would sound worse. Just curious.

Wish my shop looked like this one. However, the cabinets likely cost more than my shop did. I do have some used ones. I pick them up when I can, and no they don't match. LOL

Your cabinet design is always top notch. Would have lost the center block looking wall. Myself I would never mount a TV even though it looks great. I would never use the TV. Also manufacturers always over advertise their name to much on all the cabinets. Looks to busy when I see name, name, name….

You can do two things. One, you could build a base frame for the side cabinets. Second option would be to just mount the upper cabinets lower. I don't like them in a straight line. It make the array look small and odd.

What are your opinions on LISTA vs Rousseau vs Moduline in regards to fit and finish and industrial function? Thanks any info is appreciated.

First Moduline are all aluminum, so no go on the industrial side of things. They are much better suited for a clean, consumer garage. Lista and Rousseau are very similar. Their catalogs are a lot alike. I like the Lista drawers more, but the fit and finish of Rousseau is a little better.

@@ObsessedGarageI restore old Vidmar(now Lista) cabinets, and recently did a Rousseau and you are spot on, Rousseau are way better built, just the front drawer part of the cabinet is 2x thicker. Also the paint is way more durable.

Ha, ha... When I hear someone say that all I hear is screaming insecurity or complete ignorance.

Too hard to comment on the cabinets without touching and feeling them. I don't care for the toe kicks as they are in Matt's language "janky" and "wonky" out of line and the gaps are not equal distance so I'd prefer something else. Is there something that finishes off the underside of the cabinets as I don't care to see the bolt, key and wire holes.

I actually really like the function of the toe kicks on the Listas. Since the floor is pretty sloped, a fixed toe kick would have a 2" gap on the far right of the cabinet array.
