You and I have similar tastes-I want more true cool tones too! And I also prefer the depth of Velvet Blush. You have me wanting to get the Velveteen now because I love cool plum tones. I’m a little disappointed it’s been so long since she’s released new colors; it felt like an event. I think it would have been exciting if new colors had been debuted in the Velveteen release.

Yeah, am with you on this range missing cool tones. I am a fan of her True Velvet Ribbon, and I so wish to try out some more subtle colors, but on the cooler side.

There are def some cooler options within the Lucent range rather than the Velvets.

I'd like to see rainbow spill in the velveteen! That would be stunning ❤

You are my shade twin and I feel the same way about nude lip shades. I keep trying the popular ones and I feel washed out. I need a touch of color.

They look lovely on you. I have a few and my favs are fawn and rain, but I’m neutral leaning warm so that’s why. Glad you are enjoying them but some helpful advice, they come off with oil so try and avoid oily foods and you’ll be golden. Are you going to have a look at her newest release lipsticks? Since I am Emerald status on the website I got early access and immediately ordered two shades. So yes, I will be trying those new things very soon.

They are lovely in their own right but quite similar as well.

Hi Maaike I still feel her lipsticks have a mainly warmer undertone, but I think most of them look good on you. On my journey of trying to find really good shades on me and the multitude I have tried on I finally have my three favourite shades- UD backtalk as a nude, Laura Mercier rose mauve is a bright cool toned pink with a plum undertone and Ulta beauty lipstick in shade 310 is the long searched for muted lilac pink I have wanted for a long long time. I prefer a bullet lipstick as a formula and don’t mind reapplying, but my experience with liquid lipsticks was Stila a while ago 😂. I swatched some of the LE lipsticks in store in Space NK and the way they look on my skin is very different (they all pulled more peach on me). This is the same with Gucci, Dior and Givenchy to name just a few, so that’s not unusual for me unfortunately. Best wishes x

Yeah that's unfortunate but anything super pink on me just looks weird as well. I need that touch of warmth to bring it together.

She is launching her new lippies tomorrow (for emeralds, 30th for others). They are balmy, kind of Lisa's version of YSL Rouge Volupte. Not sure how many colors there will be, the price is 26 £.

Yes I got the e-mail as well. Haven't seen any product information yet though, so I will wait to see this afternoon what it is all about. I might pick up a shade or two if there are any that appeal to me.

Jazz is deeper and more blue toned, a true red. Duchess has a hint of purple and pulls more berry on me. I have them in my swatch video I did last year.

Ribbon is my favourite on you.

I normally wouldn't leave a comment about English grammar on a make-up video, but since you are an English teacher and your English is otherwise impeccable, I thought you might appreciate the tip. Correct is "It looks different," not "It looks differently." "Different" in this context is a predicate adjective. Thank you for the Lisa Eldridge video! Despite not being a fan of liquid lipsticks, I am now curious about the Velveteens!
