Clark *had* to respond the way she did, whether it affected her or not. As a player you don’t let the opponent think they’re getting in your head. But there are rules to hosting big events (pun intended) like this. Bluder was primarily mad about how Nebraska screwed up the post-game interviews, putting the visiting team in a bind regarding flights home. And that reminded her of Nebraska also screwing up the “don’t play music on the PA while a visiting player is shooting free throws that’s bush league don’t you have any self-respect” rule. Oh well, justice was served in the Big Ten Tournament!

The context is that Bluder was pissed because the visiting team usually has their post interview first because they have scheduled flights waiting That’s not what happened and music played during free throws. She felt disrespected by Nebraska.

Coach Bluder is awesome and amazing and there is nothing your click bait journalism can do to change it.

The reason Nebraska went first is because Iowa took so long to come out of the locker room that the media relations team told Nebraska to go first. Both Nebraska and Iowa were delayed getting to their locker rooms because of on-court celebrations but Iowa took almost 20 extra minutes to get out, so the ordering of the post-game interviews was reversed. The media relations director told reporters that if Iowa players showed up while Nebraska players were still talking, he would pull them off to put the Iowa at the podium. Bluder refused to talk, but Clark and Martin both did, about 5 minutes later. The flight issue is a complete non-issue too, because the Iowa team flew charter the entire season, and their flight home to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is literally only a 271.76 mile very short flight from Lincoln. Security helped escort both teams off, but it is not Nebraska's fault Iowa took forever to come out, knowing they had people waiting on them. If Bluder was concerned about her flight, she should've been more timely in the locker room. That being said, Nebraska should not have been playing music during free-throws. And while Clark said it didn't really affect her, it is still not technically supposed to happen. So Bluder is justified in being angry about that. However, her temper tantrum and general conduct is very unprofessional. Both Clark and Bluder can be heard in other clips cussing and throwing towels and such.

As a Husker fan I respect Clark's response and it's a fact. Players train for these kinds of environments mentally and physically. Distraction is a part of sports and if you can't prepare for it or handle it than sports is not for you. As far as Coach Bluder goes, If Iowa would have won don't think we would have heard her throw a tantrum like she did. Great coach just acted very unprofessional. Bluder lost it because she was embarrassed to losing to Nebraska who was not rated which brought out her anger.

Embarrassed? Where are you getting that from? Still shouldn’t be playing music while shooting free throws! Even after what Clark said you still shouldn’t. Some things bluder said were honestly kinda right, and it wasn’t that fair for iowa because of the horrible refs that knew there own team sucked (shows why they were un ranked) so there refs had to help them out.
