Exactly! My grandparents were so frugal but they had a TON of money on both sides. I remember my grandfather telling me "you want to make money while you sleep." And I guess that attitude passed down to my dad (RIP), because I remember going to his house one day and I had bought something I really liked, so I wanted to show it to him. So I said "Look at this! Isn't it cute? It was on sale...I saved 50%!" My dad replied "Well, if you're spending, you're not saving." Obviously I had no retort, and that has always stuck with me.

Saving and investing wisely while prioritizing necessities and a few small luxuries in relation to one's total assets is a great approach. It helps ensure financial stability and I my for the enjoyment of life's little pleasures without compromising long-term financial goals. It's all about finding a balance that works for you!

@@anthonytaylor7928 - Bluder wouldn't take the job anyway...that's why she's quitting Iowa. Next year Iowa will have more eyes than ever on its program. Bluder doesn't want anything to do with millions of more eyes demanding high expectations, so she quit. She stayed at Iowa for 25 years because there were no expectations, so her mediocre playoff record didn't matter - the last 2 years with Clark are the only years of her 25 that she accomplished anything. Bluder was afraid to do the work necessary to retool the team.

This era will be be the biggest change equal equivalent for women and other areas. I at an early age as a boy was surrounded by females with no husbands, living in a rural ranch. Nearest town 15 miles. The women worked very hard to to make a profit from the cattle. Schools taught girls how to be a house wifes. But with the brilliance of the women and me sending money home from my military monthly, they were extremely successful and grew buying several other businesses in a larger town. They all sold the businesses most got married. My big surprise was they taught all their children how to get passed those obstacles. They all willed a large sum of money which I gave to their children for their education and other things. We have rabbit holed so many things for so long. It's time for a change.

This Indy coach is already dropping the ball. That's why Steve Kerr was perfect for Steph Curry, he was a prolific 3 point shooter himself and even though it was painful to watch at first he let Steph be Steph, then Klay and then they changed the game, you don't consistently hit threes you don't win games. This Indy coach already seems wrong for CC.

lol, she was mediocre her entire career BEFORE Clark. Problem now is, Clark's media promotion brought new eyes and high expectations to her program for the first time in 25 years...with Clark gone, the pressure to retool and perform at the same level will be unprecedented for her career. Coaches at UCONN or SC face this pressure every year, but for Bluder it would be a first. Her response was to quit so she wouldn't be responsible for retooling. its also a money grab - never before the past year has so much sponsorship money and promotion been around the Iowa program. Bluder looked at her choices and figured the easy money - with no pressure to recruit players and win games - was her best choice. Look for her to take some sports job with a corporate sponsor or join the broadcast booth, but you won't see her coaching - too much accountability to win doing that.

Remember, these folks are mostly "new" to the game due to being swept in by the mass marketing promotion campaign that featured Caitlin Clark the past 18 months. NCAA Women's basketball is 50 years old and the WNBA is 28 years old, but these folks just found out about all this 12-18 months ago, so you aren't dealing with the swiftest, most aware folks. No surprise you get all kinds of irrational and overly emotional comments from them...their knowledge is low.

I think it's so unfair to the women who entered the transfer portal and joined the Hawkeyes. They were expecting a world-class coach, not an assistant. I also wonder if Bluder may be doing this so the WNBA would consider contacting her to coach the Indiana Fever, especially after the unflattering comments about Bluder from the current Fever coach, Christie Sides. Another factor is that Bluder knows she has no chance in hell of reaching the heights with future teams that she had with Caitlin Clark. There would be a firestorm in Iowa if Bluder ran a losing team, so she figured to bail out of Iowa now. Kind of like what Nick Saban did with Alabama. lol. One more side note: Christie Sides has also been critical of how Clark is performing her game on the court. I wonder if Clark secretly contacted Bluder and asked if there is anything she could do to advance the chances of being asked to coach the Fever.

This ain't rocket science dude, lol....she's leaving because for the first without Clark, her performance will be under scrutiny from millions of more fans who will be expecting her to keep the train rolling like coaches at schools like UCONN and South Carolina do every year. Bluder has never worked under that level of expectations to bring in top players and win the championship - the Clark thing merely fell in her lap when Clark decided to stay home. Now that all the new eyeballs will force Bluder to actually recruit NATIONWIDE for the best talent and quit making excuses that it can't be done, she quits.

All the talk of Bluder going to Indiana, lol. Bluder couldn't win anything at Iowa, but she's going to win championships in the Pros? lol yeah, right. WNBA pros know Bluder is an empty suit...she'll end up taking a job in broadcasting or cashing in with a job working for one of the multi-million dollar marketing sponsors that funded and promoted her team last year. Bluder doesn't want to be held accountable for recruiting top players or winning championships - hell, that's what's she running away from, lol.

makes sense....she was nothing before CC....so she'd go back to nothing without her. From ashes to ashes...from dust to dust.

Iowa hit its ceiling by landing CC. Iowa will probably not see the top 10 ever again. Smart move. Go out on top.

Hannah Stuelke should've entered the transfer portal and transferred to LSU. Bluder made sure she waited until the portal was closed to retire. Stuelke doesn't get the respect she deserves there. She would fit in great at LSU.

That's because she knew without Clark she would be relegated to nobody status. Just like every body used to ride Tom Brady's coattails.
