If they ensure safety for everyone! why does the bridge look like that? Isn't that what the American tax dollars are supposed to be going towards keeping the cities and States up so it would not collapse on top of us and so we won't get swallowed up under the ground. What is the government doing with our tax dollars! Putting it in their own pockets while we continue to suffer and struggle! There's no reason why that bridge should look like that! Or why it shouldn't be a priority to be fixed! Just another example of how the government don't care about the people! if it's not benefiting them in anyway it can't be done! Pure foolishness! and to be honest nothing the government does make sense to anyone but them

Brings to mind that meme picture with a raging fire in the background and the MTA saying it's Fine. They likely won't do much until it's on the verge of collapse, and then only do half-fast emergency repairs instead of a proper long-term fix.

Who runs NYC now? Who ran it 60 years ago? Where are all of our taxes going now? Where did they go 60 years ago? How much are our taxes now? How much were they 60 years ago? What are the demographics of NYC now? What were they 60 years ago? So many questions.
