It's funny how I used to think every investor went broke during recessions, meanwhile some made millions. I also thought everybody went out of business during the Great Depression, but some went into business. Bottom line, there's always depression for some and profit for others, it all starts from having the right mindset. That said, I've set asides part of my savings to invest for future. Unfortunately I'm a complete noob.

True, A lot of folks downplay the role of professionals until being burnt by their own emotions. The stock market can appear as a bewildering cauldron of fake news for new investors. I would advise using a CFP, giving him/her 2/3, and then investing the 1/3 on your own, but only if you have time to track stocks and educate yourself.

Probably best to give your money to and take advice from a financial advisor. As a random trader on the internet I would say it's probably best to put your money into well performing etfs like vit and voo or lucrative dividend stocks and etfs like BITO, T, or F. If you don't want much risk and have $80k or more just buy an annuity and call it a day.

I learnt to manage my money through investments and it really works for me. They say money can't buy happiness but poverty can't buy anything.

I am new to the stock market. Every stock that I bought so far, I was out of luck because I bought them when they were expensive. I feel I missed out on all the stock opportunities so far for the tech stocks.I believe having 150K yearly income would be a good investment so I want to plug all my savings into the stock market. Even with the right technique and assets some investors would still make more than others, as an investor, you should’ve known that by now, nothing beats experience and that’s final, personally I had to reach out to a professional trader for guidance which is how I was able to grow my account close to a million, withdraw my profit right before the correction and now I’m buying again.

One thing that is worth noting, the price goes below the liquidity level because of the sell stops.. the opposite is true for buy stops

Today I faced with this liquidity issue after the great news break out, and I failed to take good price asi wasn’t sure where was the bottom yet, and price went up a dollar by minute. This video helps studying that same situation. Just wish more examples to confirming this understanding.

I see your point but if you don't add the volume, you can't get the real picture of what's is going on because the volume would have identified the traps and the breakouts real and false.

My observation is that horizontal trend line drawn on longer time frame 4H,may also be exactly SAME LEVELS trend lines on shorter time frame eg 1H, 15 M--and THAT LEVEL trend line has lot more RELIABILITY than trend line which shows up only on one time frame.We know markets are fractal & pattrens repeat on different TIME SCALES/MAGNIFICATIONS(Look at cauliflower).Horrizontal trend lines carry more weight than angled trend lines.Please comment with your experience.
