This show is extremely creatively comforting. It's too insanely complex to articulate. I could feel forever. It makes me feel like my weird shit can also, on some level, be appreciated by someone for some reason. I love you, Adult Swim.

True! People tend to shut themselves down more often than anything or anyone else does, especially creatively minded people. It's something I tend to struggle with, and a lot of other people I know have experienced the same sensation as well. Human beings of any skillset or mindset tend to be their own worst enemy when it comes down to expression and judging themselves, and I have anxiety as well, which certainly doesn't help. But it's good to get a reminder every now and then to just let the spice flow. :)

effluviah I agree. What I like most is how they mix media, either on top of each other, or just side by side. It takes a certain fearless-ness to be able to give up the normal constraints and just do your thing. The one thing I can assure you is that someone, somewhere will appreciate what you do, no matter what you do.
i watched this for the first time on my first ever acid comeup. my homie and i CRIED laughing at the part with the foam animals expanding in water. it was absolutely beautiful, will never ever forget it. now i try not to watch too many off the air episodes, because i want to save them for all my future trips. this show is truly amazing.

they run marathons on the adult swim streaming app, usually for quite some chunk of time as well. They also seem to upload a new episode every month too so it's bit always going to just be the same few episodes.
Every time I sit through an ad I become less interested in whatever they're selling
I'm so glad that you guys have all of this show on youtube. It is seriously one of the best shows you guys make, along with Rick and Morty that is...
All right so I'm tripping balls, so this might not seem like a coherent perspective: To me, I think the piece that started playing at 8:25 represents the consequences of not recycling and generating endless plastic waste instead. It starts with the man pushing his cart of what seems like groceries back to...wherever. Then comes the parallel where we see the same man, or possibly the personification of a dying planet, pushing the non-recyclable items into the sea. So much waste ends up here, with decaying humanity following close behind. At the end, we see the man pushing his groceries, but the face of the ocean emerges from the cart. The man stops and stares into the incredible awe from its raw power. He realizes in that moment that he has taken his planet for granted. The man looks too deep in, however, and it consumed by the earth's last solution to save itself: the destruction of Humanity. The moral of the story is: buy eco-friendly items or be recruited to the hive mind of a giant, Ocean-Fish-Plastic-Beast

THANK YOU ADULT SWIM FOR SO MUCH! You have just made my freaking morning!!
THAT WAS FUCKING AMAZING!! My mouth is still open at the end, where can I go on those kayaks?
I think surrealism is a great medium that explores the realm of art, humor, nature, the human mind/condition from a fresh and creative perspective. BUT I do believe it can be employed as a dangerous and chaotic tool in the hands of nihilism (which surrealism is largely associated with unfortunately), a philosophy that seems to be close to the hearts of many of Adult Swim's creators. I would watch more of Adult Swim if it focused on the BEAUTY of LIFE and it's MEANING rather than its SEEMINGLY incoherent and hopeless nature. This episode (for the most part, in contrast to Off the Air's "Food") did just THAT, and perfectly I might add through the creative genius of a surrealist mind.

don't often see logical thought wading through the KZread pits. Some might think what you said is a book but it's that's the simple tarts for you. i watch AS to see what I can of the beauty, sometimes I see grose stuff but that compared to these comment sections is just more beauty. AS opened my eyes to Cowboy Bebop and part of the love I have for that is shared with the late night programming section.

@desgracialo1008

And what would the problem with nihilism be? In my eyes, nihilism does absolutely no harm, nor does it get to be dangerous. As a matter of fact, it can be quite soothing. And it does not contradict the beauty of life--life can still be pretty, you know. It can be pretty and not have any meaning... which is exactlly the point behind these videos. Some cuts of them are coherent, but mostly it's just an amalgamation of aesthetic and mindless absurdity. It's not hopelessness, it's realism--realism in surrealism--that's in today's minds.
Everything about this is so beautiful! I can't describe it. I am in awe. :) I feel so trippy right now. I feel happy. XD LOL, that wool guy tho!

The opening to this episode is so powerful.
I really can't begin to explain how much adult swim has contributed to my life, I mean sometimes its so vulgar that it shouldn't be funny and some stuff is just plain stupid but its stupid in a good way. And sometimes I just feel weirdly comfortable when I watch these, as if this shit is like, getting me high without drugs, and I feel like stuff like this can finally get recognized the way it should be, weird as fuck but funny, which a lot of people can relate to. So thanks guys. Thanks for making my life better (and worse at the same time) and giving me something that I can watch and feel, sorta at home. Cont know why I chose to say this on this particular video but I just needed to get it out
