Anne was in the early start of the show and she definitely set the bar for how the final performances need to be. She’s still in the best performances along with Tom Holland and Jenna Dewan (in my opinion.)

It's very sad that Anne Hathaway gets so much unnecessary flak for no good reason. Her nonsensical number of haters is proof that it takes female artistes ten times more work, more effort, to prove themselves. Between this and her hilarious SNL Homeland sketch (and many others on SNL), combined with all her prior acting work, she's really proven herself to be a hardworking and versatile entertainer. Yet, place her next to a hot male bod with chiseled features and smoldering eyes, and immediately all her hard work becomes much less valid because The Internet, and the gross obsession with superficial physical beauty. And this is coming from someone who feels that she's gorgeous. Recognize and appreciate talent when it's there please.

I wouldn't consider this "proof" of anything. There are 7.5 billion people on this planet and we're not all carbon copies of each other. People like different things. Personally, all 3 of the performances you've mentioned are my personal favorites. Just because YOU live in a bubble where people might not have seen THIS performance, doesn't mean that other people haven't seen this performance. Ask everyone who has seen all 3 performances and they will rank them by favorites differently. You will never get a results of "Channing Tatum takes the win 100% of the time because he's hot" You WILL however, get fluctuating results based on what is currently trending. Because people have fleeting memories of these things. For Example: If a new Spider Man movie just came out, Tom will likely take the lead in the current poll. If a movie with Channing Tatum just came out, Channing will likely take the lead in the current poll. If a movie with Anne just came out, Anne will likely take the lead in the current poll. Not because they become more popular, but because people go around searching for things with their name on it when they're interested in those movies. Or they search to revisit older works, like this one, that they haven't seen in awhile. You gotta stop seeing the world with blinders on.

You definitely right in the sense that she's struggling to get more roles now because they don't hire women once they hit a certain age. There's more roles for the older guys, though, because there is less emphasis on their looks. I think the females who have it "best" are those that are athletic because they actually aren't stuck with playing "pretty roles" all the time. (e.g. Jennifer Lawrence) It's unfair, though, because old or not, Anne Hathaway is an amazing actress and still more beautiful than 90% of the "young" actresses in Hollywood.

Who's here in 2020? I'd forgotten how good this was.

Um, no? Why the hell would I be in denial? Yes, Anne Hathaway did a fantastic job, but Tom dressed in the opposite gender, dressed in lingerie, twerked, had amazing dance moves, had 'rain' sprinkle down on him and had an awesome and unexpected costume change in the beginning of his performance. I'm not in denial. He won the entire show after that in my opinion.
