@@HadiaJenn I believe you cuz I'm somewhat freaking out myself I got two syringes but one in my chin and one in my lips cuz I was losing volume on my chin and I cannot believe how swollen I am and how much pain I'm in. This must be how it feels to get punched in the face a few times

I am sooooo glad I saw this. My lips are swollen like you wouldn’t believe. I was beginning to think I had really screwed up. This is only my second day so I after watching your post I feel much better about it. I also didn’t realize that the filler was still “movable” after 48 hours. You’re a God send. Thanks!

I really appreciate this video . So much in detail . I just got mine done today for the very first time , indeed very painful. It’s day one and my lips are so swollen . Hoping it goes down by day three . I took arnica today . Thank you for sharing your experience

They look so good!

The first and second time my swelling wasn’t bad. I just got them done yesterday and by the 10th hour I looked like a blow fish 🥴. The next day the swelling went down drastically, I used aquaphor 24/7 and took bromelain and used arnica gel on my lips as well. I also iced the first 24 hours every few hours. 20 mins on and 20 mins off. My doctor said to wait 48 hours before massaging.

I’m so glad I found this video! I had my lips done (1ml) for the first time ever on Friday. The pain was UNREAL. I’ve had 4 kids and I swear I was more vocal during my filler than any of my labours! It’s also super swollen and bruised. I’ve seen so many videos of people perfectly calm and not mentioning pain or bruising, I was starting to panic that she’d done something wrong!

I feel ya! Got mine done, just 1ml. I was screaming and panicked. I have 4 kids too, I felt the same way. Unfortunately, I have some migration and had to get it dissolved. I may go back and try the traditional technique as the one I had that migrated is called the Russian technic, and I read that it is definitely more prone to migrating.

Every good surgeon will tell you that the first time , one syringe is enough. And something that my surgeon explained is that for first time needs to be nit a thick filler but medium . Recommend the second retouch in 7-9 months . I wanted 2 syringes but my surgeon advised me that NO .....and I’m glad , after 72 hours I was 100% fine

@@odettg9106 To be honest, I did have a "bruise" that looked like a black area/spot on my lip and it did actually form into a little lump. You can see it up close but not far away and it doesn't bother me too much. I still like my lips more than before the injection regardless. However, I need to go to follow-up meeting with my aesthetician to find out if I should get it dissolved or not before refilling again. My biggest worry was that it could be necrosis that's why I was so paranoid but luckily is wasn't.

I got mine done about 3 days ago and its swollen and sore af but i need o start massaging but it irks me so much!!! thank you for showing your process! really calms my anxiety

The long needle technique prevents a lot of this swelling and bruising. They go in from the side of your lip/cheek and inject through a long needle into your lip. So there's no poking into your lip. Also, your doctor should have let the numbing settle in first before poking you!

I just got mine done yesterday for the first time, so I’m still really scared about how they look considering they are huge now. I only had 1ml syringe of juvederm. I am bruised more than I thought. Great video!

Ugh I’m sorry! Yes it’s definitely a reaction to the ingredients. I also had the same pain in my teeth. That lasted for 3 days until I started taking the Bromelain. I swear within an hour I felt 50% better. I hope you can get your hands on some and feel better soon!

Omg! And it still didn’t numb you? I only had the cream and half of my lips were not numb. I literally thought I was going to pass out! 🥺🥺🥺

My injector suggests 1 syrings , wait 3 months and get another to build volume. Avoid ibuprofen and advil - Tylenol is okay. Use a CLEAN chapstick. Ice for 15 minutes. Arnica SAVES LIVES. I take 6 a day plus the Arnica gel (put in freezer) and apply every hr. And using an ice roller after 48 hrs, twice a day for 5 days! Also avoid drinking alcohol 3 days before and after procedure as well as smoking the first 24 hrs😁

I’ve had mine done twice. This is a great video, but like you stated, GO SLOW! Two syringes?!? That’s crazy girl! Both times I had one syringe. Same outcome both times. Very natural and very happy with results. I wanted to address the PAIN issue. I went to a med spa the first time where I was given a very weak numbing crème for about 15 mins. I’ve NEVER felt pain this intense and I’ve birthed 4 kids, had my lips tattooed and fillers and botox for over 10 yrs! The pain scared me away from getting my lips refilled for almost 3 yrs. Last week I found a doctor (actually a DENTIST) who was highly educated on facial anatomy and very sensitive to my low pain tolerance. In addition to applying high grade numbing crème which numbed my entire mouth within 15 minutes, she also numbed my entire mouth with novocaine shots (Probably 6 altogether) Most Med Spas don’t have access to this. WOW! What an incredible difference all of this made. The pain was almost non-existent. And because she was well educated in mouth symmetry and facial anatomy from being a dentist, I feel I got the best outcome I could’ve ever gotten. I realize I got lucky to find a dentist who also does injections, but if you are sensitive to pain, I would highly recommend searching out a dermatologist or someone who can administer novocaine.

The bromelain made a huge difference in pain I took it last night before bed post injection and this morning my lips are at much less pain and feel less swollen

I got my 2nd cc of juvederm earlier this week without numbing cream and it honestly it didn't hurt at all! also I got a very small bruise at my bottom lip which luckily went away by day 4 . this video was very informative overall and your lips look amazing!

You probably received filler with a numbing agent very common

I got mine done 2 days ago, had anxiety about how sore it was going to be, I had Botox at the same time, she applied my numbing cream first then done my Botox...In all honesty the pain was worse with botox lol, I didn't flinch with my fillers, I was sore the night off having it done, swollen etc, woke yesterday morning with no pain whatsoever, had brusing, swelling reduced dramatically yesterday later in the day, woke this morning with no brusing or swelling, I had 1m, im 47 years old and had bad smokers lines around my mouth, all lines have gone, to be honest i do believe you get what you pay for and is down to how good is the person doing it, I could have got my fillers and Botox done for less that half the price for what I paid but I went with the more expensive and experienced, she also has you back 3 weeks later for a review and if any tweeks may need done, I really urge people to research research and research who is doing them and loom at their work done on other clients

They look so great, I’ve been searching vids, came across yours which was y bar the most informational. I got mine done, today is day 4, just 1 full syringe bc my natural lips are pretty full, but I’m Geri g older (35) and lost a lot of weight, have noticed some lip deflation from the weight loss and that’s when I said “I’m find a good practice and doctor and I’m going! I hated the numbing cream and want to try without next time. My Botox (20 units) was incredibly painless…. Maybe it was bc it most mostly my forhead

What a relief this video has been ! I got lip fillers literally yesterday and the pain is unreal plus they put a bit of filler right above my chin to as she said pull my bottom lip a bit and i have been swollen all over and i thought i was allergic or something.. plus not sure if anyone else has gotten like a cold sore on the corner of the lips and that has been hurting.. ugh i hope this all goes away soon 😢

I just had mine done a month ago . Honestly I’m so happy with it !!! My lips are small so she started slow . I plan on going back to get a bit more . Once the swelling goes down you get used to it lol and you want more ! I had no reaction thankfully . Just bruising , swelling and some lumpy bits . Also lots of chapness! My NP did a dental block so I barely felt a thing . I’m so sorry it was so painful for you ❤️

I have been getting my lips filled for 4 years and this past Friday I passed out right after. Lol I had a vasovagal reaction to it. Found ur video as I was looking for massage techniques. U should try looking into a place that offers the dental block. That is what I will try next. Good luck! ❤️

I got mines done yesterday via a dentist who has given me a dental block. You can't feel anything at all. I would suggest shelling out a little more for the comfort. Mines was so relaxing I nearly fell asleep.

I got my lips done today with numbing cream and a very gently done fill, There was pain but nothing like I imagined and that's down to the lady doing my lips. I have swelling and some bruising and whiteness. I hope the swelling goes down, Thanks for this video.

Love the video and tips....from my experience.....drink pineapple juice for a few days before and after the procedure, do not drink alcohol 2 days before and 3 to 4 days after the procedure.....sleep with your head elevated, don't take any Viatims the day of procedure especially Viatim E, don't drink out of a straw....No flying for at less 3 to 4 days after procedure

Hi ladies! Just an FYI 2ml isn’t fit for all lips. My injector does .5 ml to 1ml for my friends at a time but because I have deep natural pockets, my lips were able to handle 2ml. My injector has been doing this for 12 years and is very well known in our city for how great she is. As some people are speculating in the comments, I don’t believe her motive was “to make money”. She would have saved my left over syringes for future use, meaning she still makes money. Maybe some injectors are out to destroy patients lips but mine isn’t one of them. My lips look amazing until this day. 1.5 years later 😘 and I will be going to her again if needed but will look into dental block numbing 😭

My doctor used a dental block with topical anaesthetic for my lip filler, and it made it a much better experience. Hurt less than lip tattooing (topical anaesthetic only).

My lips did the exact same thing. I’m glad I’m not the only one. I was so scared. I have a high pain tolerance & they used the numbing cream, no dental block, and I was ok but underestimated how painful it was going to be. I used the same things, but I did not use the Bromelain but def will buy some as I’m about to get them redone. I did have to cover the bruising with a matte lip liquid on day 4 to go in public and I would NOT recommend this. The risk of infection is too great, although it was a brand new tube. Still, as she said, new Vaseline only is best. I did get 1 syringe and it has lasted very well for almost 1 full year but I paid extra for the longer lasting formula. I can’t recall which one, or it may be that it lasts longer for me personally bc Botox also last a lot longer for me as well. Your lips are beautiful before & look great after also. Either way you are so pretty!! I found your channel looking for lip filler & just sub’d & abt to watch more vids. Loved this & got to show ,y husband what I went through lol, 🤣.

Thank goodness that I found this video. I’m so relieved now because my lips are mad swollen and I hate the look! I thought I would be stuck with them this way! But if they are going to take a few days to see-puff then I’m happy. Hopefully they will look better soon..

i just got my first syringe a couple hours ago. def more painful than i expected. i’m worried it will still look crazy when i go back to work in a couple days. i bruise so bad

On day 2 I woke up to one side of my lip extremely swollen. It’s day 3 now and I’m so worried. The pain is terrible. I’m gonna make myself get up to go find everything mentioned in this video! I hope my local Walmart has these natural remedies. I just got .5 a syringe in my top lip. The side that isn’t swollen is perfect. Ugh. I hope it goes down soon.

Wow you’re good. I did 1ml with no numbing agent (only topical numbing cream) and I passed out and puked. The pain was unbearable. I felt every strike and the blood coming down my chin and blood in my mouth . Very scary experience !

It’s excruciating pain! It should be an option at every clinic!

I've just had mine done and YES ITS PAINFUL . I honestly didn't think I would get through it . A lot of injections and the bottom lip is an absolute killer I felt like crying. Can I recommend that if you do want it done put the numbing cream on for longer. Aldo, don't wear makeup as all the wiping and tears in my eyes actually wiped it away and take something sugary afterwards.

I am really shocked to see you’ve got 2 syringes for the first time. I just got my first lipfiller today. I’ve showed some picture with what kind of result I want to reach to my doctor. My doctor told me, for the first time it is always recommended to take it step by step and not too much. Because every lips have different reactions, and if it is too much, you have more risk that the filler will migrating. If I am happy with this filler and I want to add more volume, than I can come back after 3-4months. So it will look more natural and get the best results. Oh btw, my under lip is also blue. But I am not really worried because I know from my past experience with lip pigmentation, my lips is easy to get bruised.

Yes 2 ml is not common for the first time. My appointment was for 1 ml but after she assessed my lips she said they could handle 2 without migration due to the shape of my natural lips. Glad it worked out for me 😅

2ml for your first time is crazy! The place i go to in england dont even offer 2ml . The first time i had mine done they hurt soo bad they literally felt like fāt sausages in a frying pan I thought they was going to explode and i only had a ml done never mind 2ml . Just had mine dont for the 4th time now and I honestly dont think I’ll ever stop getting them done

This is my second syringe. It’s been 11 months since my first. Just wondering if swelling is worse the second time. They look super swollen and “ducky” at the top. The girl I go to recommended I do a full syringe even though I only wanted to do half since the one I got almost a year ago was still holding on strong. Is this normal? It’s literally just the top of my lips

Ouch! My injector does a nerve block and I feel nothing at all.

I just had mine done today, and it was super painful. Even with numbing gel and laughing gas, I had my toes curled and tears flowing. I was really surprised. I usually can withstand pain quite well. Anyhow. I had one full syringe and he suggested to come back in 6-7 weeks for my second fill. So far I have regular swelling as expected. Would I do this again,? Hell ya! BTW your lips look fabulous ❤️ Thanks for the healing tips 🙏 😊 😉😘 Like my Gmum would say "Beauty Hurts!"

Hi, I’m curious if you ever went back to do it again? I tried for the first time and only got 1ml. They used the Russian technique and my filler migrated and had to be dissolved. I may go back to get the traditional filler technique after 2 weeks. The dissolving process pain was worse to me than the filler process.

Hello. I have not gone back. My lips are still pretty full. I have heard the dissolving is so painful. I almost passed out during my fillers lol

Did you have any lumps in your lips, and if so did they all go away? I’m 3 days out and i have several!!

Hi hun, I had 3 big bumps but around day 5 or 7 I applied some Vaseline and massaged my lips from one side to the other (corner to corner) with some pressure and did this for few days and the lumps were gone afterwards!

I ALMOST PASSED OUT. Thank god I wasn't the only one who thought this hurt!!!

Thanks for you 😘 and you video first time. In my life 😅I decided at my age to do this was painful indeed, my lips swollen I mean bigger as hell idk if I will go back in a month for the retouch humm thinking 🤔 😅 😅

Haha! You are so welcome. It’s time for me to finally go back for a fill and I’ve been dragging my feet to do so 😩😩😩 The pain and swelling was too much but I miss my lips being fuller!

If you hate the pain of getting them, ask if they offer a dental block. My drs do but I hate it so I just do topical, but it is offered.

How the heck did you do this without a lidocaine injection first? I only did half a vial with numbing cream and a lido injection and it was still painful on the bottom lip.

I got mine 2 days ago. One small bruise on the side. I took arnica tablets, started the day before, only 1 small cup of coffee over 8 hours before the procedure. Very minimal pain, mostly on top. Continued arnica tablets for 3 days after. My injector goes in through the side And over. He did not poke all over like Most of these videos.

I’m using Vaseline too, I also got a brand called milk, it’s a purple jar and it’s a melatonin overnight lip mask. But by day I’m using the teeny lil container of lip Vaseline they make in the lotion section. I’m so thankful I didn’t bruise bad bc I didn’t tell my husband 🤭🤪

@@Hhossain0101 YES! it did I used a jade roller and gently needed them out. I have not needed lip fillers again yet. I also kinda rolled form the top of the lip out if that makes sense milking them

I just had my done for thr 2nd time but last time the nurse used a canula. So I had very minimal swelling and no bruising no pain at all. This time this nurse filling in for her used needles and I am super swollen bruised and in pain from the swelling. I can't eat or talk. It's terrible. I'm ready for it to go down.

I had my very first lip filler done today 0.5ml because l wanted a natural look that no one would notice. By the time l got home my top lip had doubled in size and feels so tight. Unlike you l never got the numbing cream so agree with the pain. I am going on holiday for the first time in 2 years and l am mortified and glad l can at least wear a mask on my flight. Why oh why do we do this to ourselves?

Wow. I cant believe you had no numbing cream. I find it hurts even with the numbing cream! My eyes water so bad! Can i ask why they didnt numb you?

@@camsmith2321 I know your comment was months ago, but I don't have numbing cream. My reasons are it is supposed to cause less swelling, and I actually don't find it painful. ♥️

I've just had 2ml for my first time. And I'm in a lot of pain after, it's day one and I have a very bad bruise on my bottom lip. I'm in the UK so not sure I can get many of the products mentioned in this video. I'd just like some reassurance.. x

It will go away! I would try to get your hands on some bromelain to help with all of that!

Just got my fillers yesterday and I’ve watched so many videos because I didn’t swell nor feel anything during the procedure the only thing I got is a small bruise and now I feel weird because everyone talks about pain and swelling

OMG the procedure looks so painful! But your lips look so good!

I literally got my lips done 2 hrs ago. The left side of my lips are super swollen, and it's red. I only got 0.5 ml on my bottom lip and it was a correction for my top lip. I can't even close my mouth because it feels weird on the left side. When I was in the beauty spot it looked great. Wasn't even painful at all, her numbing cream is awesome. I really hope they will even out because now I look TERRIBLE!!!!!

@@HadiaJenn I am now, thank you! Icing helped a lot. I had really ugly bruising for 4 days, looked black and blue but it's been a week now, my lips look even and all the bruises are gone. :)

It does hurt! However they asked me if I wanted a numbing application I believe she said it was like a dental dam and once that was applied I didn’t even feel the needle.. so I highly reccomend that! If they don’t put that on you it is extremely painful😓

She put a numbing cream on for 25 minutes but for some reason have of my lips were numb and the other wasn’t 😅 next time I’m going to put my own lidocaine on and have her apply her stuff on top. That should do the trick.

@@HadiaJenn so she did the numbing cream but I’m talking about something else before she started the fillers. It was optional and once she seen me in pain without it she asked me if I wanted it. I wish I would have asked her, she said it’s the same as dentists use and she put it all around my teeth so my entire mouth didn’t feel anything.

2 full syringes is way too much. She should have started off with 1 , no wonder they blew up. I just got mine done yesterday (Friday) and today they seem to look and feel better. Some bruising but nothing crazy

Do I get arnica tablets or the gel ? And is Aquaphore better than balm?

I just had my lips done today. My injector offered a dental block on top of the numbing cream. I tried to solider it out with just the cream and couldn’t do it! With the dental block I felt nothing at all!!! Would highly recommend it. :)

Hi I need some advice had my lips done first time just wanted natural look little enhancement she used 1ml syringe it is day 4 today and top lip is swollen looks bigger than the bottom lip practitioner said it is normal and will come down but I do not like them the I look like I have duck lips

You’re welcome! You can get it from Amazon, Whole Foods, a vitamin shoppe, new seasons.

So you can put ointment on your lips the day you get your filler? Shouldn’t you not mess with the area?

Yes absolutely you can. She put some on immediately because you need to keep it moisturized. But it’s important to purchase a new tub of ointment to avoid bacteria. And wash your hands before applying, is what was instructed!

I just got mine done today I got only half a syringe and plan on getting another half in 2 weeks. Mine are only swollen at the top and I look like Angela from mobwives 😂🙏 rest her soul but the top of my lip is crazy looking lol. Thank you for sharing your experience 🫶

I've been having my lips done for nearly 3 years now and it's strange cos sometimes the pain is so bad, others it's a breeze and I've always gone to the same clinic. I had them topped up 3 days ago and wholey shit the numbing did NOTHING despite sitting with it on for 30mins. I'm panicking a little though cos I have got quite a bit lump on the top right lip (I always need more filler on that side cos of asymmetry) and it's not been painful until today. Well... not painful but definitely uncomfortable, like throbbing a little. If it doesn't show signs of going down tomorrow I'm guna contact the clinic, I reckon it just needs smoothing out with massage but I'm not willing to do that cos I worry I'll dislodged the filler in a wrong way. I hate feeling like I'm pestering them cos I've had to go back previously but it's not like it's cheap

Omg 😳 I wonder if the ingredients are different?! I would definitely go back in to them. Don’t feel bad, that’s part of their job! I hope you feel better soon. I’m so glad my lips are still plump even months later, I still don’t need another dose. My lips held on to the filler well, which is surprising because it was my first dose. I do recommend bromelain (also found in pineapples) it helps so much with swelling!

@@HadiaJenn No I always have Juvederm Ultra. I had a lump once before and it just needed massaging so think it will be the same with this although it is a bigger lump 🙄 But yeah you're right, it is their job and I'd rather them do it than me. And thanks for the tip, will give that a go 😊

It literally took her two hours because I was in so much pain despite using a very strong numbing cream. I changed my mind so many times, but she couldn’t let me go with only half of my lip done. I decided to never go back, but then I was told I can get a dental block and I’ll lose all senses in my upper and lower lips. Has anyone used dental anesthesia for lip fillers? I can never go back otherwise. 😔 it was just unbearable pain…

Can someone help me? 🥺 I just got neuramis deep filler yesterday I got about 1.5ml and today (day 2) my lips look like a puffer fish and they’re extremely duck lipped. I iced yesterday but it just made my lips more swollen & massaging did too. Should I ice and massage today? I already applied arnica

Don’t ice anymore! Sleep elevated and drink pineapple juice to help with swelling.

I would contact your injector. They may have you come in or advise you to massage it!

Got mine done for the first time today. It didn't jhurt when she was doing it but it is an hour later and my lips are sore now! To be honest I found profhilo a more painful but only on my 2nd one. You look fab BTW xxx

@@HadiaJenn I had an experience with blading and that hurt me but the numbing cream wasn't left on long enough, plus from r my lips I put my own cream on before I went to get them done!

When my lips turned white, I stopped by and they checked me out. Showed me to massage them right to left firmly to move the filler. I had a few lumps that I massaged away.

Why did my right under eye start to hurt ?

Day 6 and my top lip is still swollen and bruised under the skin in the corners

I did have two bumps but I massaged them out on day 5 with Vaseline and using the side to side motion
