LIONS VS HYENAS - Clash of Enemies

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

Filmed at Mombo in Botswana.
A pride of lions feeds on a baby giraffe kill, as dozens of hyenas and jackals arrive on the scene to scavenge.
Great interaction between the species; several times the male lions go after the hyenas.
Things get interesting at 6:11 (sorry, I know it is a bit long) when another unrelated male lion shows up.

not true. most of the animal kingdom ran away but still ended up in the pot . humans and their freakish livestock have replaced 98% of wild mammals. humans killed of almost all of the megafauna thousands of years ago. we live in a very empty world. its really just a hideous ugly monoculture of humans. the price will be spectacular when the fossil fuels sustaining the plague run out. then the remaining few million humans will get their puny ass kicked by 12c warming that their mindless 'intelligence' caused

@Joe Roscoe the fermie paradox pretty much rules out AI, nuclear fusion and star trek type futures. nah, the hideous megacancer composed of billions of homo sap meat packages will crash and burn like millions of other technological cancer species thoughout the milkyway that long before cast envious eyes and probes to the stars above, eager for possibilities for colonisation they held. thats why evidence for aliens doesnt exist, when the cosmos should be alive with their innane, mindles chatter. you think we were the first megacancer to attempt to send spores out into the eternal blackness. foolish little rapacious tumour species. there is nothing out there for you in range. every techno icarus plague species with hopes of galactic conversion inevitably runs out of detritus energy long before it can send a tentacle to one of the nearest fertile ground stepping stones scattered throughout the infinite nothing. their delicate industrial wings always burn up with the biosphere that spew them forth.

@Joe Roscoe i like the creativity of your comment, but i assume you are being frivolous about the whole transhumanism leaving our physical bodies malarky. for that is what it is. or is it tomfoolery, im never sure. i can definitely understand you would want to be something other than a mere human, the insane predatory cancer monkey. a vessel for mindless genes. a meat puppet. a decendent of the worms we still are. although being a part of a global cancer feels pretty good, one needs to believe in an immaterial afterlife too, so we can keep converting everything to humans forever. a heaven for cancers maybe, where the living planetary host is eternally reborn, to be eaten again and again. sadly, such things are make believe. bullshit if im being brutally honest. being a cancer is great i suspose, until your finite host dies (or gives that impression), and you find out too late that all life is entirely biological and material after-all and extinction is forever.

@Joe Roscoe im 52 so i dont want to be anything in particular, least of all an aging human. and the way things are going, future humans wont be humans either, because they will have made themselves extinct. this is because of what you say in your final sentence, although i did prime you, so its not really your idea, is it.

@@nelsongicana2000 not really, 2-3 hyenas can easily harrass and chase away a lioness. the lioness doesnot have the strength to kill a hyena in one strike, so she will risk a significant injury if she is to attack. remember, hyena's jaw is stronger than lion's so great numbers are required only when male lions are present. but even then, the actual chances for battle, are pretty low...

Lions are bigger and dispite having weaker bite force. Lions have paws that can grab and hold down the Hyena to kill it. While it's a lot smarter for the Hyena to not fight. If any serious injury happened in the process. The hyena won't be apple to hunt again it it's life. It's like why risk a life for this one moment when it can just leave it as it is and live a few more years.

It's like asking them to attack a tree just to get some monkeys on the top, would a lion ever do that?? nope. Also, lions have a natural fear of humans, so even if they do notice them, they'd rather just avoid and not cause any conflict. Lastly, overtime, lions have gotten used to the jeep and they're more comfortable around it and see it as jus a random being that isn't a threat or a meal. It is something that they haven't developed a strategy to hunt and it's something completely random, so they ignore.

You have to hand it to Hyenas. I don't much like them but they are relentless and practically fearless when it comes to getting their share. The only thing that really freaks them out is Big Daddy with the '80s Big Hairdo.

I was actually wondering how Uncle Bon Jovi was sitting so full with his huge frame and a perfectly scar-less face. He was high tailing it out cause he doesn't want to get his hair and face scratched up in a brawl with neither hyenas or those 2 lions.. Uncle BonJovi is metro; hahaha, pretty boy.. 💆 Just keep him far far away from poachers.. 👀

Can someone explain to me why the animals don't jump into the Jeep? His Jeep has no roof or cage.

Answer:The reason why is because if the animal jumps into the jeep it will get stuck and the humans look bigger in the car and they could just drive away...Or just that the animals are not interested in us.
