Mohawk avoids ALL conflict. Well...except when it comes to his sons getting close the lionesses 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

I have seen the Maxim Leopard in person at Mala Mala and he’s truly impressive . ❤ he’s passing those genes on . Hopefully I will see him again next July 2024

Maxim's male is a legend in these parts.
Mohawk's condition and mane have been improving, from six months or so ago. Many male lions have some down periods during their adult lives. Kambula lioness with cub. There's one Kambula who has a litter of four but the cub here looks a bit smaller/younger than those.

True. I heard one guide say that male lions sometimes lose some of their mane to stress, so maybe Mohawk was mourning his brother? I can’t remember the timeframe or circumstances of Blondie’s death.

Absolutely right with Mohawk . Losing Blondie last year in October then Dark Mane in November and having 2 males come in December to upset your world further is absolutely reason for his condition. Now that he has had his sons to form that oh so important brotherhood it has been a new life force for him.
