Beautiful engine! My wife surprised me with this same model on Christmas. I know that being it is an oil burning tender it doesn't have the depleting coal load- but does it have the ashpan glow? I only ran mine for a few minutes and then put it away until I finish my layout, and didn't notice the ashpan glow. I know Lionel made note about the absence of the depleting coal load, but I assumed it would have the ashpan glow.

I haven’t actually noticed if it does yet! 😂 I will definitely look when I am back at the layout.

I had the Same problem as to when the Boiler goes outward to the Left or right behind the Lead 4 truck to go through the Curve and there isnt enough curve clearance at the end of the curve and it hits the wall so i stopped running it at my house and started running it more at the Train club i belong too😊

That’s probably a good idea as to not damage it. Which train club are you apart of? Because I’m apart of the Southwest Division of the TTOS

Does the horn always sound so low compared to older models?

I haven’t really noticed a change. Maybe it’s just my audio quality

Wow, how much clearance do you have between your track and the wall?

Not much on the one corner as we built the track too close but we make it work

@@nwrproductions3751 Do you know how many inches? My layout runs pretty close to the wall as well and I want to see if I can run a big boy on my layout.

@@dagoodsoldier6715 sounds like it unfortunately. At least this big boy works. The 2019 vision big boy we bought was built wrong so we had to return it. But luckily we used that money to buy a Class a.
