Lionel N&W 1218 excursion to NYC

This is a very special video celebrating reaching 400 subscribers on my KZread channel. I present to you Craigs new Lionel Visionline N&W #1218 2-6-6-4 steam locomotive. Check out the detail, sound, and smoke effects of this beautiful model steam engine. It heads up a string of Norfolk & Western streamlined Powhatan Arrow passenger cars. This fictional excursion train to New York City is set on Craigs awesome South Fork O-scale railroad. I believe the passenger cars are 18" MTH Premier. Thanks JD. But to be clear, this layout and engine belongs to my train friend Craig. While I helped him with the design and some of the build the NYC concept and scenery is all his. I'm just a model railfan lucky enough to live nearby. Look for an update on my Harpers Ferry layout soon.

I have the MTH version and was tempted to upgrade. The Lionel model in this video belongs to my friend. I really like the wheel slip sound and extra smoke features.
Nice , the back drop also adds alot .

@@Chessie1985 Yes, a few steamers and some diesels. Chessie - C&O will be one of my first runs once I have track laid on my new layout. Look for a Short of my recently acquired 2-6-6-2 soon.

Sam, thank you so much for subscribing. I really appreciate the positive comments. My subs are who I create content for. I’ve been building bridges on my layout this winter and will publish an update video soon. Craig has done an awesome job adding scenery to his layout. I really like that he has a triple mainline which makes it safer to run swing out articulated steam engines in opposite directions.
