If you take Ronaldo's penalties away, Messi has already surpassed him with a 100 games less played. Plus Ronaldo is a like a glue to the six yard box, whereas Messi normally plays much higher up the field so what Messi does is doubly amazing.

Tuve la oportunidad de ver jugar a Pelé, a Cruyff , a muchos genios del fútbol pero Messi está diez escalones arriba de ellos y a apenas dos escalones arriba de Messi está Maradona. Como el mismo dijo, " si no fuera por la droga que jugador hubiera Sido!" . Y aún con eso , Maradona está un poquito más arriba de Messi.

Gracias! No creo que los rivales le tengan envidia , es solo admiración. Cómo la que yo siento , soy argentino, por Ronaldinho o por Neymar , aunque sean rivales en el fútbol , los brasileros son muy buena gente, y los tratamos como hermanos, aunque tengamos rivalidad en el fútbol.

Youre very naive to think he doesnt give his best 😂 He did have high performance stress. And even retired 2 times from argentina football team cause he couldnt handle people insulting him for lack fo performance in argentina national team for years At barcelona he tried to forcefully panickeave the club since 2017 when he sense tiki taka suppremacy was not not as efficient to dominate europe like before. And wanted to go the easy team when it should be easy to win champions league 😆 Its just messi is hypocrite while ronaldo would cry like some women that got divorced Altho ronaldo never abandon and never have a blaming dictator mentality. While messi does abandon, try to find easy way out (retiring, snobbing premier league for psg afraid he flops there). And toxicaly blame others when the sole reason he became big was thanks to tiki taka tactic 😆

The dude was like scoring 60 goals/season. But at argentina he could go 10 games without scoring Psg mid season. He is only at 6 goals. Despite weak league He is very tiki taka dependant. If messi went to juventus or manchester united. He would be struggling worst then at psg and argentina

That truly is one of football's weird and unjust decisions. He has a goal for each season he has played worthy of winning it. It's not important to win the Puskas, but this omission is the worst.

This man, this little man is the most unluckiest footballer I have ever seen. I mean, he literally deserved everything in football but couldn't achieve somethings because of his fortune. For example, the world cup. Argentina were kinda underdogs in 2014, but it was there for them to win it and then higuan happened. Man should be having 3 Copa america to his name. Again his teammates failed him. Even after all these he is considered probably the goat. Many boomers doesn't accept that because he hasn't won the World cup. But wait, they think maradona is the goat just because he won the WC. But in reality, maradona never scored in the final, the same as Messi. But his teammates won it for him. Both had similar campaign and both won the best player award. Only difference is one was unlucky.

@@vol230 Also his few mistakes are the most talked about just because his team lost it. For example penalty vs Chelsea in 2012 and 2016 Copa America. In both occasions Messi missed and their teammates failed to save him. On the flip side of it, Ronaldo also missed a penalty in 2008 UCL semi final against barca, but his teammates helped him to win. He missed the penalty again in the final, his teammates helped him win. He missed again in 2012 penalty shootout against bayern, but his teammates also missed so the blame is shared. Ronaldo has escaped all these big misses, whereas Messi gets criticised for it.
