I can't believe how wonderful of a big brother Jasraj is, I was honestly impressed and surprised! I didn't know young male lions would be affectionate to their little siblings like that.

I know this is an older video but he was so gentle with his younger siblings. It was absolutely beautiful to see.

This is WHY lions are SO EXCEPTIONAL and INTELLIGENT. These interactions are HIGHLY complex and shows how much the BOND between the family members are PRIORITIZED. Very wonderful video.

What a good big brother! He has more patience than most lioness's with cubs have. In the wild, this sub-adult male would be run off by his father to start his life as a nomatic male until he is fully grown and ready to take over a pride of his own.

No Sir with respect you're wrong. Jasraj is not the only devoted older brother African Lion that Iv'e seen and not just in captivity but in the wild and in a Sanctuary with very large enclosures as well. A pride is a large family group, all of the Lions are related. All of the members of the pride are devoted to the cubs regardless of who mothered the cubs and regardless of the degree of relation to the cubs, older brother & older sister, older male & female cousins, aunts, ECT. Now this particular young male Lion older brother, Jasraj, is in a class by himself!!!! Jasraj is especially sweet natured and loving!!! I cannot help myself, I have fallen head over heels in love with Jasraj!!!! LOL

You know the dominant male ejects the younger males when they're 3 years old or so, after they're well on their way to maturity, because the father sees his son or sons as a threat to his position, his dominance. I think its quite tragic because the younger males, his sons, would be excellent allegiants, to help protect the pride. Instead they're forced out and have no choice but to become travelling rogue Lions that are a threat to their own pride and other prides. Because of the shortage of land that Lions can call their own, human & Lion troubles, poaching, "trophy" hunting, ECT many young male Lions must band together for a better chance at survival and its near to impossible for them to go out and form their own prides the way that they could've & would've done 20, 30,40,50, ECT years ago. Its a travesty really and we must step up to help and protect Lions, all people, from every continent, right now & for always so that we can protect this magnificent species of large wild cats.

These male lions were allowed to stay in their birth pride so they'd be all of age to set out and take start their own pride together

As a lover of all cats, this family is one enjoyable group to watch. Brothers to each other have bonds that stay for life. Same for sisters. Since males leave the pride, once they get to a certain age, I would think, that as a group, before they leave, they get along with their sisters. I like lions, but my true love for the big cats, are the Tigers. Bengal to be exact. But, in the end of the day, my love for all cats is first and foremost. But, I do like all animals.

2 things 1) I love how affectionate the big brother is to the little Cubs bc I just saw a video before this one where three teenaged lion brothers were jealous of the younger Cubs and one of those Cubs strayed away from the pride and the three brothers tried to gang up on him and almost killed him (but the mom heard the Cubs cries and saved him...then pawed at the brothers) And 2) I laughed so hard when it said "my moms in a bad mood...but my sister is always nice to me" like i felt that
