Linux NOOB Trying Pop OS for the First Time!

The next Linux distro I'm trying on my 12 year old laptop is Pop OS. It's a very neat one, but would it be the choice for my main computer?

The most lightweight distro available nowadays, out of "good" ones, is Puppy. It pretty much should fly even on a potato. Try doing that.
like stated linux mint xfce should run perfectly fine on there. xfce environments are very light weight. also very similar to windows 7 in terms of style, with a few modern tweaks.
Try Linux Mint XFCE on that old computer.
