Linton Blades 1970 - RAF Jet Provost aerobatics
My father was W.D.S. ( Dave) Waddington. He led the "Linton Blades" in their formation year, 1970. The Blades was an aerobatic group, flying T5 Jet Provosts, based out of Linton-On-Ouse formed by Instructors from 1 FTS.
I recently found a few photo negative strips containing these pictures. I had them scanned in, cleaned them up a bit & put them in a rough sequence ( If you look very closely you see there are different planes featured ).
I assume that the regular Blades members were flying in these pics. The pilots are listed at the begining of the "video"
( music WAS by Pink Floyd ... But Sony have blocked the video in 10 countries world wide .. So I changed the music to some copyright free Bach. My old man would have preferrred that !
Jan 2024 - the Bach is now copyrighted & KZread blocked the video .... so I chose some other uncopyrighted crap - can't work out how to remove the sound track . Whatever - please enjoy !)

Very nice Steve thanks for sharing Neil
Thanks for posting this. I was at Linton for many years until 1975. I worked on the Mk3s 4s and the Mk5s during that time.
Thanks Brother, forgot just how good they were. Simon
Great work! Thanks for sharing. The music works well.
Nice nostalgic video....
