Different type of video today, a sort of tutorial for how to make and print with lino. I am by no means an expert, this is just how I do it!

I'm just now getting into lino cutting (age 42) after doing it once in middle school decades ago. Thank you for the tracing paper tip - that's huge.

That's awesome, I'm so glad you found it helpful!
I've just done my first ever lino stamp and was so happy to see you use stamps. I wanted a print to show to my friend, but doing the roll on inking would habe been too messy for my tiny room. So this was the perfect solution for a quick first print. Thank you so much. ❤️🙏🏻

You really helped me with my next Art class. Thanks!❤
doing a print making class, this video was fun to watch while working on my own
Super video. I'd never thought of using stamps to ink the lino. Just one thing though, please don't cut towards your fingers. Those cutters are really sharp and can do serious damage to fingers. Best to use a cutting board with a stop on one edge and push the lino to the stop and cut in that direction; you can always turn the lino round as you need to.

Very insightful to teach us the tracing paper method and even showing your brand of EssDee lino cutters. Halfway through my college Final Major Project and wanted to experiment with a new printing technique, this's really helped, thank you
I love your art! You do great work!
Such an inspirational and educational video I am getting started with making stamps like that but I'm just a beginner so you trace carve out the outline of whatever it is that you're going to use as a stamp 👍👍👍
This is a brilliant video it is the first time I've ever seen a lino cutting and I am now going to try and do it myself many thanks again🌻🌷🌿💖⚘
Make your own wrapping paper. 😊 As I a kid we did lino sketching in art class, but the technique went away like so many. Glad to see it has returned. Hello from Queensland Australia.

Try using a bit of foam under your stamping area to help with your impressions. Would also recommend a product called ez mount. You can back them and use an old cd case to print them with. Nice video! Thanks! Hope that tip helps!

Hey there, I'm watching this to start using lino stamps and such bc I'm making/drawing/painting on my own clothing and I was wondering if i printed a lino piece onto my clothing would the ink stay on in the wash?
@EliottBulpett
Жыл бұрын
Hi Tom, you can definitely use lino to add designs to clothing, but you'd need to find ink that will go onto clothes. It would be an ink that you would have to roll onto the lino rather than the types of stamps I used in the video!

@@EliottBulpett Ah right, thank uou for the advice, I appreciate it. Would it be better to use ink or fabric paint do u think? It might be useful to paint that onto the lino, or I might just try both and see what washes off
