    thank you for sharing so many great mark-making techniques in this video! as a beginner printmaker, it’s been difficult to find clear info on how people make certain shapes (like those u-gauge pebble shapes). really helpful!

    Hard linoleum prints soooo well if you have a press. Soft lino is easier to print by hand! Also the way it carves is a bit different - some folks prefer the types of marks and the look of a carving you can achieve with the hard stuff vs the soft stuff. And, lastly, the hard linoleum is also more economical!

    This is amazing!! How do you keep the block from slipping away? I find its hard to carve because the block slids a bit for me

    Get yourself one of those drawer protectors that are sorta squishy foam with holes in it that people put on the bottoms of drawers or on shelves!     Hi there!! I am using a smooth 80 lb cardstock paper. Sometimes I also use stonehenge or japanese papers!

    Does a thicker paint help? I've been using acrylic and it blurbs into the gaps I carve? I don't know how to prevent that!?

    If I understand correctly, you are asking about printing thr carving? Get yourself some block printing ink! Will work faaaaaaar better than paint!
