Now where did I put that winning lottery ticket? Until I find it, I still love my Linn Sneaky, Naim pre and power amps and Kef R700s; and heavens, I even listened to a couple of albums on my LP12 the other night!

Thanks for watching Darryl. Interesting comment, if a product costs a lot of money and sounds better than anything else at that price does that make it expensive? When a product sounds better than some at twice the price you could actually call it great value for money. It just becomes difficult to use that phrase when the costs are in tens of thousands!!

Michael sold me one to go with my Kef Blades (he also supplied me). I appreciate it is an awful lot of money…but it is a game changer. The analogue preamp is also a significant upgrade making my turntable sound way better too. Arguably Linn’s best product since the LP12 (I’ve been a Linn owner for 40 years). Hopefully there will be ‘trickle down’ in the future to more affordable products but just for the joy of it you owe it to yourself to hear one to know how good your favourite music can sound. It’s amazing how British companies continue to lead the way in hifi, especially now with digital audio.

Interesting, are you sure it's got an analogue preamp? I have the Katalyst version and it's a DVC (digital volume control) which IMHO is way inferior to a good preamp like a Luxman c-900U. If it has a analogue preamp that is a game changer however I can't see anything online that claims it to have an analogue preamp, I could be wrong here.

@@ayfj4572 Either Klimax handle analogue devices ie a T/T so both have an analogue preamp of some description. The volume control is a different design aspect and many arguments rage about digital vs analogue vol pots. Linn engineers are adamant they’re superior (less distortion, quieter, shorter signal paths etc) and have argued for them for over 30 years starting with the LK1. But hey if you like the sound of a Luxman.

You are right, I got my one recently and paired with my new organic Klimax 350 a speakers this is something to hear.it’s like taking of ear muffs and hearing music for the first time. Highly recommended

The Linn Klimax 350 passive speakers with the new top of the line Linn gear sounds much better !

I agree this machine lets you hear things you have never heard, I have one ,it’s heaven on earth

What do you think of Vitus Audio? The dealers swear by it over naim and linn

Ie denon avc a1 can rival a klout

I heard the klimax the klout does some things better

A bit overpriced!!!! Whenever I've heard a Linn system, apart from the decidedly _'mediocre, at best'_ sonic performance ... and the price you pay for such mediacracy, is where I feel totally happy and justified in walking away from their products!

Linn is the British/Scottish PS Audio. Total overpriced dung!
