When I received the press release from Ed I cringed - So many attempts by people to cover LP and there is almost always either something lacking or they try too hard and it ends up being a huge fail - Add on the fact that I am a suicide survivor myself and this song has always brought up the rejection aspect of life for me - In my opinion, recording a cover song is always a huge risk because the most difficult thing to do is channel the mindset of the artist behind the original - That is where the lacking comes into play - Not here - I felt it thru n thru - From the beginning it was a perfect meeting of fullness, power and emotion between guitar and vocal - Simply put, masterfully done gentlemen!

@@66LI99 It's funny because no professional recording studios use autotune except when they're looking for that shitty deliberate Kanye tone. They apply pitch correction that's so good you really don't know it's there. You're just looking for an excuse to hate the band because you don't like their genre.

Just found this. I was so sure it wasn't possible for anybody to try to cover Chester's amazing work because it couldn't work with anybody else. This just proved me wrong. I believe Chester would have been flattered.

i dont usually like when artists slow down and make covers their own. This, however, you can tell is a respectful homage, doing it acoustically just feels so personal.. it's very heartfelt, you can tell they put everything into it to make it as beautifully heartbreaking as the song is meant to be. It's amazing.

I find it interesting that when Chester was alive not many people would do covers of Linkin Park songs but since his passing it’s normal to see a new one every couple of weeks. Just goes to show how much the band really meant to this world. We’ll miss you Chester, we’re praying for your family and friends left to carry on.

I once thought that nobody can get close to the original. But with you I get goose bumps just like with the original and since the death of Chester, tears come to my eyes when I hear this song from him, but you also manage to make my tears come. This song has been on repeat in my head for days. Instantly this has become one of my favorite covers of all time.

This song just played on my daily mix on Spotify. I recognized the melody and saw who recorded it. I had one or two songs from the veer union but that was it. I immediately looked at the date this was released sms noticed it was after Chester had passed. I started to shed a few tears. I found a whole new level of respect for these guys. Well done
