1. Mike also sings, though not as often as he raps. 2. Maybe I misheard, but I thought he said Mark and not Mike? Assumed he was talking about Mark Wakefield, the band's original singer.

I know this has been a while since you reacted to leave out All the rest by Linkin park. Chester Bennington saying that song and Mike Shinoda is the rapper in the group. I've been listening to Linkin Park since around 2006 right after they released the album hybrid theory. Chester Bennington has always sang about issues surrounding depression and anxiety. I related to many of their songs because I am a veteran who suffers from PTSD. Way back when I was listening as their songs came out I always said that Chester Bennington was singing from a place of deep pain and as I continued on with the group I saw his documentaries where he openly discussed suffering from depression anxiety. So many of the reactions to the songs that I have come across have been tremendously positive. I don't know if you've covered the song crawling by Linkin Park but that song as he described was a song that was born from an experience from his childhood. So as I say most of his songs have some type of connection to his life story or to one of his band mates stories. Linkin Park was highly criticized as they came out with new albums for being sellouts but now that Chester Bennington is gone and people have learned the evolution of their albums unfortunately it has taken for Chester's passing for people to have learned how to appreciate where bands come from and where their music comes from. Sometimes it comes from a deep place and most of the time it comes from pain. I do appreciate you covering and reacting to these songs. So again if you haven't already reacted to crawling if you get a chance react to it and see if you understand the pain behind the song. Thank you.

There are SO many fantastic songs by Chester to react to. Castle of glass, One more light, Papercut, One step closer, The Messenger 🙌🔥🎤❤️‍🔥 there you have some true gems!

Chester also sang for Stone Temple Pilots when Scott Weiland passed.

You really should see Linkin Park - Little things give you away(Milton Keynes 2008), Faint(rock am ring 2007), Qwerty(Tokyo 2006), Rolling in the deep(cover) - these are incredible live songs. Chester doesn't rap, that's what Mike does. Also don't if you know but sadly Chester Bennington committed suicide by hanging on July 20th 2017.. he was suffering from depression his whole life which makes this song heartbreaking RIP 💔

The album this song is from (Minutes to Midnight) amazing album. Listen to "one more light" from Chris Cornells Funeral. Chester was close friends with him and was even the godparents to his children. Its a very emotional and raw performance.

I think you're a bit confused. Chester sings and screams. Mike is the rapper. I would say 95% of Linkin Park songs carry Chester's voice exclusively. So maybe you meant adding Mike's rapping changes the sound?

I respect your interpretation, but Chester was suicidal and that’s how it ended for him. One thing with suicides is they feel keen guilt and shame over every failing, kinda feel like they don’t have a right to be alive. So in away he’s accepting he won’t be perfect by being this other person but also trying to be worthy of just being a memory. Not saying you or anyone else is dense but well, that’s suicide.

Chester is the lead singer and Mike raps and produces. They were amazing together. Such an awful lose for the LP family.
