@@Grunge_Guru_ But Chester was on a higher level, respectfully.
The scream is 17 or 18 seconds long, which is amazing considering his output. You should check out these other later songs. Mike performed Roads Untraveled even after Chester passed, using a recording of course. Roads Untraveled Skin to Bone

the debatably more impressive part of the scream is immediately going back to perfect vocals
Chester was always upfront about the meaning of his lyrics. He screamed about wanting to kill himself for almost 20 years. Nobody cared until he did.
Linkin Park's later sounds brings a different set of emotions on a highest level, not just because of Chester's death (bless his soul), but because of the complexity of musicianship the band is putting all their efforts and experimenting wholeheartedly. "Battle Symphony" and "Shadow of The Day" are unexplainable perfect examples.

Chester was truly one of the greatest singers to ever live and we were blessed to have him. Regarding the song, man that scream is insane!!!. This song reaches everyone on an emotional level. Despite his severe depression, Chester had a way with words and the ability to convey his emotions with his vocal capabilities. It still gets to me that we lost such an amazing talent, but more importantly an amazing human being. Can't believe it's been this long already. R.I.P. Chester you will be forever loved and forever missed, all the love. You know what's better than Linkin Park??, Linkin Park live!!, You should check out "Breaking The Habit (Live Earth Japan 2007)"
I was a teenager when Linkin Parks first album came out. I’m so happy that there’s still people “discovering” them years later. 💜 They have been and always will be a huge part of my life and have helped me through my own personal mental health struggles. I will always be grateful for that.

I struggle to listen to many of their songs now, it's hard my friend :(
The live version is insane!
Anybody struggling w/ alcoholism (like Chester was) can relate to the lyrics... the anger and frustration w/ being unable to get control of self-destructive habits that keep plaguing his life was apparent in his vocals. A lot of his lyrics are very dark & morbid - he struggled til the very end, but at some point, the burden of life he was given proved too much to bear... I recall the stigma of suicide victims that they were selfish and inconsiderate, and nothing could be further from reality. Sometimes, suicide attempts are a cry for help... other times, it is just a person who breaks under pressure. Another sad case was Def Leppard guitarist Steve Clark - he was just a rock star, riffmaster and an amazing performer on stage... offstage, he was introverted, shy... suffered from manic depression and succumbed to drug & alcohol addiction. He nearly died in 1989 from alcohol intoxication after a massive Def Leppard world tour. The band tried for a year to get him clean, but nothing worked... rehab, counseling... he just kept drinking and using... They finally gave him time off to take the pressure of recording away, so he could focus on recovery. Sadly, he just went home and kept using drugs and drinking ... and it literally took him months to take his own life. He was found dead in his home in early 1991 from a mix of alcohol and drugs. Sometimes, money, success & adulation does nothing to take away the anguish & pain experiences, and that is what people fail to understand.
Those lyrics pains my soul so much. RIP Chester.
MIND BLOWING SONG!!! Chester's range is like no other!!!
This song is bittersweet along with others. On one hand you have an incredible song on the other you know the inspiration came from a dark and lonely place. Musicians who have struggled with addiction and depression have created some of the most incredible music in history, but for many has ended with their demise. Chester is gone but his music will live forever, and now he can rest in peace!
Chester and Linkin Park's legacy will always be part of our souls. We're really blessed to have born in the same era they did. Chester is still alive!!! 🤘🏼🎶
this is the one i've been waiting for, thanks for the reaction.
Your smile for Chester and LP makes me so happy. RIP Chester!
LP is still one of the biggest memories of my middle school/high school days. RIP Chester 💔
RIP Chester We love Miss and will never forget you or your Best friend and Brother Chris Cornell RIP as well and keep Chester company till we join you both.
I subscribed tonight because I'm a huge music lover and have been my whole life. The older I get I find that I like watching people react to music I have loved in my life. This reaction is the best I've seen, your facial expressions alone shows how much you loved this song and put a huge smile on my face. I'm officially a fan of your reactions and thank you for the smile I got it doesn't happen often.
Great reaction. You genuinely care about Chester, it’s easy to see. :) This song definitely lyrically and with his amazing screams shows Chester’s internal battle with himself. Beautiful reaction from a beautiful girl. 🙌😍
its easy to understand why you didnt hear this song simply because they have so many amazing songs ..dozens of songs to get through and all of them are equally amazing and each of them hook you in over and over again..TY

ChEster is a LegEnd ...The man with an AngeLic Voice and Demonic Scream 🔥ters no one who can come even cLose to him wen it comes to singing...
He hits the high power notes so perfectly after that scream, most others can't hit them that cleanly. Definitely an adrenaline rush this song. Rip chester another legend that's helped so many
Chester...the best of them all...miss him so much...❤
Chester's screams were so motivating. Nowadays we have a vocalist with more brutal gutturals (like CJ McGreery or Will Ramos, to give some examples) but Chester did motivate us to want to try it or if you didn't try it at least we say "how do you do that buddy?" hahaha oh shit how i miss him
Nostalgia with my teenage,, love this song
You should definitely bring more Linkin Park, one of the best bands off all time.
this is one of few songs that can get me to show any emotion let alone cry, im wiping the tears off my keyboard as i type this since ive screamed this song before it was ever ever released living in my own personal hell. I have always pleaded with god to put me out of my misery, and when i scream it it still falss on deaf ears.
Who can sustain a 17 second scream and change his vocal range within that time. TRULY GODLY!!!!
That's my favourite Linkin Park song. Cause of that freaking 17-second scream Very powerful, very energetic

The epic 17 second scream. Much love!
Forget about words your physical reactions say enough. Finally the reaction LP deserves.
The meaning of this song is about him Rip chester
That is one of longest screams ever. I believe it's over 17 seconds he holds that note/scream.
Rest In Peace Chester We still love you so much And misses you Mr.Legend
I know what you mean, I love Chester he is one of my all time fav musicians and humans overall. I Miss him! I had the pleasure of seeing LP live a couple times and they never disappoint! Chester is a once in a lifetime talent! He will never be forgotten! RIP

kyo (Dir En Grey) is up there chester is second in my opinion
a lot of LP's songs are really sad now in retrospect bc it was basically him screaming for help, esp this one. He was literally screaming for help. Crazy that he did that 18s long scream live
I love LP so much, Chester was the only singer I cried for when he passed away, like losing a close friend or something. It was a weird experience Listening to this song and now understanding the lyrics makes me really sad for him, he did a lot for us during our teen years... I wish I could have done something for him too
Excellent reaction, I love your energy in the video. Greetings from Argentina
Saw this tour 3 times i loved it so much. Actually in this video with Chester screaming right in my face.
Great reaction. R.I.P. Chester😢
Watching again one year later as if the first time thanx Biss such a great reaction
Rip chester the legend... 🔥
Great reaction, RIP Chester
Thank you for always having fun videos
He did this scream also live, for example AOL music session
"Given Up" is the heaviest song on the album. It notably features a seventeen-second-long scream by Chester Bennington before the final chorus, as well as a steady guitar riff for the choruses of the song.
R.I.P. Chester, could sing like a angel, and scream like a completely heart broken and devastated DEMON!!!!!

Best Reaktion!😂🤘👍🤘🤘
The part that hits me the hardest is him saying "I don't know what to take, thought I was focused but I'm scared, I'm not prepared". I wonder if he is actually referring to debating on what to O.D. on....
So f*cking deep voice on heart when you hear chester singing, too much powerfull when henscream
At last.... LOVE YOU BISSCUTE 😘😘😘
what a inspiration chester.
The live version is also very insane to watch.
I own mostly every album, this is a great song off a great different sounding album. Only two songs on that album that is nu-metal. I made playlists of them call Linkin Park First Light, Second Light etc. Long live Chester! I hope you are doing well.
RIP Chester Bennington 💐 In Loving Memory❤️
long live chester a reaction from a GODESS
I think I agree with the legend you mentioned. Like echos in a very deep canyon, for those of us who can relate to this range of emotion, that scream echos in and through us. And in many ways, it’s still going. When Chester shared his version with us, it resonated so deeply because of his honesty/vulnerability mixed with our own frustrations at the time, varied from his as they may have been. My demons were definitely different. Some of those frustrations remain and are joined by new ones. All the things we feel we can just scream our heads off about, as individuals and collectively. But instead of actually doing the screaming myself, I draw up some LPs songs, and let the music do it for me. It’s not the only thing I continue to appreciate about Linkin Park, but it certainly is high on the list. 🤘🏻

Bro, that comment couldn't haven't resonated with me more. I consider myself so grateful I got to grow up with them. Their songs àlways hit hard but being an adult now I just think "Fucking dude was literally screaming for help!!!!" Literally. It's a song that just smashes me in the fucking chest so hard. It's different for everyone but that music helped me out when I was a kid so much I'll always be grateful for them. R.I.P. Chester. Always remembered.

Chester's voice is f-ing amazing🤘 I sadly see more of myself in his lyrics than I'm comfortable with. I've been struggling with depression close to 30 years now and it shows in my own lyrics as well. But, I'm still here, trying to find the light at the end of the tunnel, though I've been close to giving up several times🤨
