Linkin Park - Crawling (Live with Chris Cornell)
Ойын-сауық
Projekt Revolution 2008
Charlotte NC
July 30 2008
Mike rapped the first verse of 'Hands Held High' over the Reanimated intro to 'Crawling'. Chris Cornell then joined the band for the song and sang the entire second verse, the outro, and Aaron's harmonies.

Two souls that felt too much and used each other to feel
That harmony though. The raw talent.
This was my first concert at 18 years old with my brother. I remember vividly the experience of seeing these two sing together and we all lost our minds when Chris came back out. I didn't have a way to document it, no camera phone or digital camera, and couldn't afford a t-shirt, just pure memory and the most incredible show I could imagine. I'm so glad I found this video 🥲

I actually saw them live when I was 3 years old. yes, 3 years old (or 4 maybe). My family brought me because I liked to listen to their songs on my moms phone. But back then, being a literal infant, I just sit down and not sing along because I was too sleepy. I swore to myself that I would see them again when I'm older so I can actually watch them but now it's too late.

Art wrapped in depression
@CrystalPrelude
9 ай бұрын
It is sacred. On a level that anyone can feel. Before their deaths, this song was about life. The pain of it, the depression, how wounds and pain do not go away, time doesn't heal those. It just allows you to become used to it, and even then at times you can still be overwhelmed by the pain. After their deaths, this song is still about life and its pain. Yet now, with their manner of deaths, you can see what these things can do to you. For despite the differences we share, creed, skin color, nationality. We all share one single thing. One thing unites us. We all die. Death is inevitable, it can't be stopped. Even beyond that, the world around us shares in this cold knowledge. The trees will die, animals will die, the Earth itself will die. Then, you take another step. Stars, solar systems, galaxies, black holes. They will die as well. Nothing lasts, death comes for us all. No matter what you are. It is a depressing thought that can drive the will out of you. Or... In that realization, you can truly stand on equal ground with everyone and everything. A fate we cannot break free from. This fate makes us all one in the same. What better way to get this point across than music? Something you can't really see, yet it is something you can hear, and more importantly feel. Something everyone understands as well.
Very nice how Chris comes out, first greets the fans, than the band and at the end hugs Chester. RIP

its awesome but he did open for them that tour and was amazing. Chester even came out forone of his songs.
they were such good friends that they practically left together, one first and the other just 2 months later.
I'm scared at how much I relate to these two. Thank god for music. These people save lives.
Chris just swaggers on, opens his mouth, and instantly you know who it is. Stunning.

I saw Chris live 3 times with Soundgarden (for the reunion tour) and 2 times solo and also Chester live with LP maybe 2 or 3 month before his death, just one fucking year away from Cornell's one :-(. 2 of my favourite singers and Artists. 2 great voices that went away but are still there with us everyday. Keep safe and rocking friend and if you have time come check the new song I posted with R&O, would love your views on it : kzread.info/dash/bejne/nYyn18Numrm0pLQ.html

Facts
This is truly out of this world. I just recently came here after a deep dive into how close these guys both were. I had a friend like this I would make music with and the connecting and excitement you get when you’re feeding off each other’s creativity and just nailing it is just something I can’t even describe. Everyone here won the lottery in terms of a concert. Hard to watch without getting heartbroken though.

U made a perfect description
The first time I saw that performance on YT years ago I just thought, Oh wow, that's nice. Then, around two years ago, I lost my mom and then I stumbled upon this clip again. I had the most bizarre anxiety/panic attack. Felt everything going black, felt like I was imploding. Took me a good 10 mins to stabilise. I knew that night, I needed help. I am much better today. But anytime I have a really low moment, I visit this performance. After a tear or two, I know I am ok and everything's gonna be ok. RIP Mom, Chester, Chris. Thank you for everything.
Those who were there had the good fortune to see these two monsters of music together before departing this world.
