So many crazy stories during the war. If you spent a 1000 years you still couldn't listen to them all. Each individual involved has many stories. Most of them brutal. Awful times ppl lived through but its a pleasure to learn about what happened.

IN NORWAY THE GERMANS STILL HAD 300,000 SOLDIERS STATIONED IN NORWAY, THEY COULD HAVE BEEN USED FOR THE BATTLE OF BERLIN.

My German grandmother told me that she believed in "Final Victory" until the end, when US troops took her town on March 26th, 1945...

This documentary is very well done, I live in Berlin and I am passionate about this battle, whose signs can still be seen today if you know how and where to look, some buildings still have bullet holes. The best I have seen so far on this argument, well done guys.

The battle of berlin was fought on the oder. Berlin itself was a large scale mopping up operation.

It was the Courland Pocket, not bridgehead - they were trapped there !

Claiming the Soviet forces/troops were civil is a stretch beyond b.s..

Those flak towers were so big that the allies tried to destroy them point blank after the war and couldn’t. So, they buried them, but you can still see the back of them if you went there to see them and can even still go inside them. You’d probably need special permission, I’d assume.

The last battle of WW2 was not Berlin. There was a furious war in the Pacific that was still going on even as the Nazis surrendered.

Honestly you can not say the Russia's are doing so good. As Germany was fighting all over the world. Russia had one front one effort all there sources one front as Germany was all over the place. One on one the out come would have been much different

The announcer mentioned about the deranged mind of hitler , and I firmly agree with him. The problem with the deranged mind of hitler is that he caused the death 💀 of many, many innocent people and animals who had absolutely no control whatsoever about their own lives and deaths 😢

Losing any war is bad. Losing a war your country started with the Russians really sucks.

In every country of war were barbaric ppl. Not just Russia, Germany, Japan, .....

Don't criticize the volkstrum, remember Winston Churchills speech about fighting on the beaches. He had the same idea of mobilizing the civilian population to fight a German invasion long enough to buy the time needed for the aristocrats to flee safely to Canada.

These are last moments in Berlin where the Red Army first entered and Hitler lost the war and took his own life.

Why does Herr Oerlich's voice say "Soviet" but the translation says " Russian?"
