    The modern American business person. Her story did not make sense. So she stated " I'm a entrepreneur I can lose e everything today and get it back tomorrow " yet she went to work for someone. She claimed she was earning 600 -700k a year but one bad year she's on the low side !! She invited a software to generate commercial leads give her big ups for that. But other then that she doesn't sit right with me neither those Lee

    Good story, Dmitry did a good job of asking the tough questions and being unbiased in this interview. Being a media outlet that is the most important to us. I think the story is all too common in this industry, this is why I support the employee model over the sub contractor model. Unfortunately, most of the industry does this and the sales person always gets the bad end of the stick. Sales people: go with a company that hires you as a W2 employee not 1099, this gives you protections with state authorities if these things happen.

    @Lindsey Douglass Listen I don’t have a dog in this fight. I will be the first to say that I have not always agreed with Dmitry and his stance on things but I do respect his candor and transparency I have seen in his reporting. I may not like his answer or position on situations but after getting to know him personally I believe he is a good human being and family man that is trying to bring truth, integrity and transparency to the Roofing industry. I’m not saying I don’t believe you on your claims, trust me I believe there are several companies that would fit in the “ponzi scheme” game. I have seen it first hand but I also moved forward and did not go anonymously complaining to Roofing Insights either. I dealt with it privately and moved forward. So I understand his “Hyenas” comment. I believe your situation could be totally different and I am glad to see that you are making a stand for what you believe you are owed. I applaud that you aren’t hiding in the shadows complaining, you are front and center calling it out on the carpet. God speed to you in this situation.

    I like that Dmitry doesn't hesitate to ask questionable situations because it just shows that he is not taking any sides. It is a great characteristic of an interviewer because most of the people in this type of industry just let the guests talk even though there are some things that are needed to point out. But he did the opposite and it proves that he really is listening to every words of Lee. Kudos to Dmitry for handling this interview well.

    Hearing her side of the story would help seeing the contractual agreement that she had with them to see if it aligns with what she says. I hope to hear the other side of the story and see how this plays out. Without a forensic accounting process involved I’m not sure why anyone would ever accept a deal off of the profit versus an easy calculation off of the gross.

    I worked for RRCA for 1 month just this past January after moving back to Florida from Houston. That’s all I could take before leaving. There’s many many reasons for their high turn over rate; many of which I experienced just in that 1 month period. I don’t see her side on everything she said but her being terminated and them essentially high jacking her commissions when she was still willing to finish out the jobs is predatory in my opinion. I quit so I was willing to accept the fact that they weren’t going to pay me full commissions but they never even paid me on what I was owed contractually based on their 1/3 system.

    This is a common issue in this space. As a sales person that goes after large scale commercial clients, it falls on you to protect your book of business. The fact that they were still going to pay you 1/3 of your commissions owed, technically the contractor was fulfilling their fiduciary responsibility. As far as the software goes, if she was tying her software into an existing platform then she’s going to have an uphill battle regardless of her trademark. She never should’ve used her system or at bare minimum let it be known she was using her system without a separate contract being written for that intellectual property. Frankly this is simply ignorance on her end. She will be an easy conquest in court unfortunately because she is having to pay her own expenses so the simplest path to victory for the contractor is simply to drain her of all of her funds which won’t be difficult to do with a company that does 50-75 million a year in cash flow. It’s just the reality. They’ll just bury her in expenses until she cries uncle and frankly 50-60 in expenses are easy to drum up and she’s done. Her smart play is to take her third in pre-trial mediation, learn from this and go on about her way.

    After making that kind of money ($500k - $750k per yr) you lose everything in 1 year?You work in the insurance/construction industry but lose everything based on a few insurance/contractor issues? • @53Kirill

    @53Kirill

    2 жыл бұрын

    @Lindsey Douglass but even if you acquired losses, perhaps telling us you earned personal net profits of up to $500k to $750k per year makes it sound strange when you told us that you only recently purchased your first home (with that kind of money I’d assume you could have bought a home much sooner) and then you lost everything due to a few bad situations in life (with that kind of money you probably could have lowered your lifestyle and downgraded to a smaller home). Plus being that you grew up in the construction industry & worked to help people that were mistreated by insurance companies, it’s also slightly strange that you hired a contractor who screwed up this bad on your home and that you couldn’t get insurance to pay for it. Of all people I’d assume you’d have a solid contract that would hold your contractor liable and you would have made sure that your insurance policy covered all your bases. I don’t mean to bash on you but these are just the logical questions that arise. And this is why it might be harder to trust your story, even though those other guys very well might be screwing people over.

    No smoking gun here. She was paid a lot of money on the operations side and failed to mention that the operation pay went on for 3-4 months after the majority of the storm work concluded. Seems like she took advantage of the operation pay to develop her own software which appears to be a conflict of interest. The father does have a vision for a platform that has many parts but has no active investors and is very transparent that if investors do come on part of their role will be to shape the eventual platform. He is completely transparent. He also Wasn’t trying to fire her as a sales person. He was trying to address the conflict of interest. Seems more like a disgruntled employee trying to make trouble than a victim.

Every one knows Lee has revolving door for years, so most Storm Chasers like Delmedico and the rest, but when you make accusations of "forensic accounting" and later say you don't have it natural questions arise if you had any proof in the first place or just got mad for them letting you go and now you just want to hurt them. When it comes to that kind of money and insurance claims it would appear the only one she was helping was her self, so just be honest please. Just how many years did she make that much money? Not that many I would guess since 180K broke the bank. Really flooding from a bad landscaped job destroyed a complete home? Too many holes in her story. So let me get this straight, the company she worked for a month ago was so shady and terrible that she is now “speaking to the FBI”, yet she’s also suing for wrongful termination with the assumption that she would still be there working for them had they not fired her? Why would you work for a company that you felt so strongly about being crooks? And self described herself as a “ Chamaeleon”? I’m not sure if that was a slip or what, but I don’t associate a “Chamaeleon” with a straightforward and honest person on the up and up. I get a weird feeling about the whole mess of them. Facebook “guru roofers”, PA’s, lawyers and the whole lot.

    Sniper of an entrepreneur mindset. May be on to something but I think she is in need of checking her own assumptions a bit more as you were trying to do and she avoided any self reflection or intellectual critique. Can personally see this type of interview hurting get more than helping because of the way it unearths how she fights There are plenty of businesses that don’t make money and many businesses that re funded because of hype rather than reality. Probably has commission suit case. The rest smells like more drama than woukd be worth it

    The story seems a little sketchy to me, lots of things don’t add up. 1. It’s always suspicious when a person only wants to throw a company under the bus for doing unethical things after they’ve gotten fired not while they are employed there. 2. Who makes $500k-$700k per year and is financially ruined after having to pay $90k to have flood damage repaired? 3. Obviously her business was her cash cow that was allowing her to take home that much money every year, so what happened to the business? 4. She sounds a little ungrateful for someone that picked her up out of “financial ruin” and gave her a six-figure per year job. 5. I guess it depends on what her contract states but I would not want someone working in and having knowledge of the inner workings of my company when they are developing a competing software, even if they are developing it on their own time. 6. The FBI and IRS do not care or investigate whether or not or why a company is profitable or not. 7. She said among other things she got fired because her marketing system was working too well and bringing leads in much cheaper than Lee was able to do. What kind of business owner fires someone because they are bringing leads in too cheap? 8. For a company that does $50 million a year and probably employees dozens of sales reps at any given time and probably has employed several thousand over the last 10 years, having 21 reps that are not happy with how they were treated is not a huge number in my opinion. For the record I don’t think she is flat out lying but maybe just bitter about how it ended. All sounds pretty sketchy to me. But great, unbiased interview.

    Whether or not you believe Lyndsey has a case or not, sometimes a person has to raise their hand, use their own personal story to shine a light on a bigger problem (trailblazer). I believe this is what she is doing and I commend it. Base on a very limited amount of information , and just this video I think Lyndsey is a person who does the right thing even if it is unpopular (courage!). Sometimes, when you are on the other side of right, that can be very frustrating. That person calling it out can become a target. This is why so many people take the path of least resistance. Good old-fashioned bullying. What I love is that she is willing to be the bad guy if needed, without losing her integrity (committed to cause). This would be someone I would feel very comfortable with working with, but just like marriage - get a contract and lay out entrance/compensation/exit lingo.

She created a software on her own time. This is the perfect example of a person just looking to take advantage of a contractor.

    I'm very confused by this interview. I don't understand what her role was at RRCA. How does one have $180,000.00 in damages for a flooded basement on an average sized home? How does someone dying in the next door apartment unit create a biohazard for her unit? Did the neighbor have a Tony Stark body suit with a miniature nuclear reactor that had a meltdown releasing high levels of radiation? Sounds like a load of b/s with a sprinkle of truth.

    If you take the time to listen to the recording of Donny Haight speaking of Marty Haight years after his death….you will hear his voice. His voice saying how he destroyed his brother and LC Nussbeck and taking pride in that and taking over the insurance industry is sick. Even worse is how he thinks he was ever better than Marty Haight or LC Nussbeck. Im sorry but doing 50 million compared to LC and Marty doing over a hundred million a year on the average doesn’t make him better….apparently it made him bitter and jealous enough to think it’s ok to brag about hurting a dead man…that is your own brother!!! The recording has him speaking awful of LEE his own son!!! I have 3 kids with Marty and this is not a good man. His own words proved that. Lyndsey is trying to help others. Even if you don’t like her how can you slam her for fighting for what is her money she earned??? I understand the good ole boy system. Hell I have a ton of emails Donny would not want put on social media but if it means exposing corruption and greed I will help anyone with the information I have that was retrieved by a FBI Forensic from Marty’s iclouds two years after death. No one should ever say it’s ok to not do the right thing. She is owed money and deserves to be paid. Marty paid his people and defended the under dog. LC Nussbeck paid his people as well. That’s how you get to hundred plus million a year and not have to worry about cash and carry from the supplier. Donny owes his brother and his brothers children a public apology for his words to Lyndsey. Thank you Lyndsey for fighting the good ole boys way of things and bringing light to the dark way things are done.
