Her song Songbird is one of the most beautiful I have ever heard in my life. I listened to Fleetwood for decades and had never heard of it somehow and stumbled across it accidentally after the most terrible heartbreak of my life. It helped me get through with love in my heart and without anger. Such a beautiful gift.

well, he has his own style. He never uses a pic which makes his playing standout all the more. However..he is no Gilmour, Clapton or Page...He is just not that type of guitarist and doesn't have the serious chops for it. He is a terrific and playful pop composer and player at the end of there day...nothing more, nothing less.

I have always felt that you kept the others grounded.but your beautiful voice and piano was remarkable. Your legacy is intact you were the most beautiful and relatable person in that band. Yes he does, and Fleetwood Mac was at it's best with him at the helm. But although he has matured and found happiness outside the band, the person he was at the time of their most commercial success was not this gentle soul. He himself said there was still emotional "residue" towards Stevie up until 1982, which manifested itself with ugly and sometimes physical confrontations with Stevie. And now she's the bad one? They were unfortunately on drugs and unstable, young, and it was a messy time for them. The best that could be said is they all survived, no matter the hurt they caused one another.

I agree, Lindsay is a phenomenal talent. I saw his intensity on stage when I saw him and FM - and he was INTENSE and exceptional standing there frenetically playing his guitar. I figured his creative intensity may have translated to him being a difficult person to be around when he had more youth and energy in years gone by. He's calm now in his mature years, for sure.

@@nonnayoubuzinnes1669 i think she meant in terms of how he could work with her to really enhance her songs w production etc . she has said mick and john were her favorite rhythm section to work with as well so i don't think she meant it as a dig. Chris and LB always worked really well together because (as Lindsey says) they never had any romantic drama to complicate things. But LB and stevie could never quite get their sh*t together, they totally antagonized each other. In terms of friendship, Chris was always closer personally with john and mick. John was with her when she died... so there's that. They adored each other.

Love these two people. I have been following Fleetwood Mac since early 1968, shortly before the first album was released. Christine has been around the band since either late 68 'or early 69' , and officially joined in 1970. They had been on the cusp of going big time few times, but it didn't manifest until the arrival of Buckingham and Nicks in 1975. This is arguably the greatest band in the world, after the Beatles, that is. Much success to Chris and Lindsey's new record, and to Fleetwood Mac now, and forever. , Dean

Lindsay was the machine behind Fleetwood Mac..Lindsay made them the legendary band they are today...people of all ages are either jammin to the songs they always loved and the younger generation just got their hands on the rumor album discovering the Mac and the gorgeous Stevie Nicks...timeless people love them that's why at 70 they still rockin...haha just makes me laugh a bit to think the geriatrics with no teeth and depends rocking out..

This should have been a Fleetwood Mac album. It is much better than the 3 studio albums released as FM albums since 1990. All of those had at least one member of the Classic line up missing. Stevie didn't want to record but she's happy to take millions from tours. She was like that during Tango. She not Lindsey should have been sacked.

How I love Christie Songbird and Oh Daddy were my faves when I had the Rumors album I sang to them frequently and knew that one day I would actually sing Songbird and I did do it solo when I was in chorus in high school. I was also in a band in my 20s and Gold Dust woman was one of our popular covers I had Stevie down pat even the low screams at the end.

Questions not asked: "Was Stevie Nicks asked directly and recently about contributing and participating in some way? I understand she may have said she's busy. What exactly did she say? If she had offered to contribute material and/or sing on the tracks, would this have been a FM record?" Perhaps awkward questions. Maybe the answers are obvious to some, but it would have been interesting to hear their replies. Would have made for great fodder for the press.

Without Nicks, the undisputed star of the band since she & Lindsey joined, there would have been no Rumours. In her prime, she was an incredibly animated force, and harmony singer. She was no musician like Lindsey and Christine, but up until Mirage, she was just as important to that band chemistry. And Lindsey himself was incredibly controlling during Tusk. It was an artistic gamble that paid off and he did not make it easy for Nicks according to the people around them, due to the unfinished personal business.

@@thefonzkiss - Hey! Don’t come after me with your ‘I’m wrong’ crap!! It was NOT recorded as a FM album. It was Christine & Lindsey album that both Mick & John just played on in recorded version. They did not tour with CM & LB. I also didn’t even mention Stevie’s name as at that time was off on tour with someone else. Maybe watch the the ‘Behind the scenes’ of Lindsey & Chris making their album! Also, I don’t give a crap what Mick may have written in ‘his book’. It’s widely known he has a bit of trouble with telling the truth of things. All I said in my comment was research. Watching Lindsey & Christine work together was refreshing to see actually. Mick & John would just come in & hang out as neither of them write or create music. Coming after people with your rude attitude & attacking anyone with your ‘your wrong’ nonsense is extremely disrespectful!! Learn manners! Have a good day.
