I agree. She was special. And few voices today can honor her. Kelly Clarkson is one. Gabriel Henrique of Brazil, is another. Honestly, he can do justice to her. He does not yet speak English but listen to him sing "Fire to the rain". I would love that voice to sing "The moon is a harsh mistress" by Linda. Gabriel was invited to audition for AGT. He will shine on stage June 1. I keep dropping hints for him to cover Linda's exceptional voice. Hope you listen.✌️💖🌹

Too true. Linda just loved the song. That was true from the word go. Whatever it was: folk, country, rock, Tamla Motown, ballads, opera, she sang it and she sang it superbly and she always gave it its due. I just loved her as a singer of anything. Now, singers are forced to be song-writers and they are so not and the result is, mostly, crap, Linda sang and gave every song its due and she sang some great songs.

Thanks for your comment and for being a fan, God bless you.. I text you on here because you're a big fan and you seems to be a very nice person 😍
If people knew anything about the LA music scene in the early 70's they'd realize that this is NOT a 'country version' - its foremost and only a LINDA version.
Simply the purest tone in Rock history.
I love her smile at the end of the song. She should of been proud. What a beautiful person.
Hypnotic. Her voice and presentation is a message of love.
They definitely didn't make enough of those to go around..... And I sure ain't talkin about the song....❤️,,,,, That Linda Ronstadt....🌷.
Such a lovely smile from Linda at the end
One of the most amazing and dynamic voices ever. She performed so many styles of music: Rock & Roll, Rhythm & Blues, Country, Pop, Big Band, Folk. Linda you are loved - your voice will NEVER be stilled.

Yes and don’t forget her album “songs of my father“ where she sang the Mexican songs of her childhood. I don’t speak Spanish but I fell absolutely in love with that album, it was breathtakingly beautiful. Just like her.
I bought the Prisoner in Disguise album as soon as it went on sale. My roommate didn’t like anything except Motown and oldies, and I knew he didn’t expect to like the new Linda Ronstadt album. But I started Tracks of My Tears and he literally stopped in his tracks mesmerized.
Oh my God, what has she done to me? I have listened to her since the 70's but something is different now. . Just WOW! She brings me to tears. The most perfect woman i have ever seen and heard.
Gorgeous pipes surrounded by fine musical friends. Vocally and visually very rare. Pure hard CRUSH.

Absolutely. She was gorgeous and sang anything and everything to a standard that makes today's divas puny and her musical friends; the best, brightest and nicest in the business.
No one cried into a microphone like RONSTADT.
That look at the end when she knows they nailed it....priceless.

That's for sure, but there are plenty of others who rank up there too, like Emmylou Harris, Joan Baez, Anita Carter, Aretha Franklin, jazz singer Ella Fitzgerald, gospel singers Mahalia Jackson and Marian Anderson, and don't forget great opera singers like Maria Callas and Leontyne Price.

Now and forever. What a gorgeous, creative and heartfelt singer. These Official newly released videos are such good quality recordings of previously posted live recordings. 'Bout time since Ronstadt was a special, authentic and PURE vocalist. So much joy going down the KZread rabbit hole with Linda. So much music, so little time.

The fact that Smokey Robinson co-wrote this is icing on the cake. Linda is a legend because she makes words come alive. You couldn’t ask for a more harmonious collab.
