I love that looks she gives at 2:24 that says "yeah, I am totally hitting this note." Something about that look just makes me smile.

Yeah...She NAILS that High B...and then effortlessly sails to the F# above it....Just blows your socks off...
Sweet Jesus what a VOICE. This woman is made of fabulous.
I'm not exaggerating when I say: this is the best performance by a female artist on a concert stage I have ever seen.
I think the greatest thing about Linda Eder is the effortlessness she exudes. She is absolutely unbelievable. The eyebrow raise before hitting the "note" and then straight back into the song is intense.
Personal opinion: this may be the single greatest singing performance I've ever heard.
One of the most legendary solo PBS/Concert performances I have ever seen in my life---she kills this song and makes it sound better than it ever has. Ugh!
Forget the approval by the whole world! Linda may not be as best as other greatest singers of all time, ... but her works and talent deserve the kind of recognition Celine Dion has received. What a snub! .... Linda! Your wonderful vocal ability is appreciated. ... From a fan in Thailand.
Not only is she phenomenally talented, Linda Eder is a wonderful person. I spent a week with her back in the 1980s when we were preparing for the Miss Minnesota pageant (that's another story...) and she was a decent and nice person. She is the total package and not a bit phony or full of herself. All this talent and a truly good person, too! That's so refreshing.
Easily, the best vocalist working today. And one for the history books!!
Linda's version is, truly, the definitive one. The album this song is featured on is very good.
not only did I hear it but the first time I listened to this I didn't know she was singing high until she moved from that note. Talk about mind BLOWN
Ever since I heard this song a couple months ago I have been trying to hit that high note and be able to hold it out for as long as she does. And today I finally did it!!! :D
The eyebrow of power!!!!!!!!!!
All that can be said is WOW!!!!
Wow! Holy Cow!!!! What pipes she has!!!
Absolutely magnificent!
This woman is absolutely amazing. I used to listen to this version when I was like, seven. xDDD and I loved it so much. 8D and then I lost the track and havn't been able to find it, and I'm so glad I found it!! YAYY!!
I love the eyebrow during that high note! She's basically saying, "Yes, I *am* about to blow your mind. How kind of you to notice!"
I LOVE Linda Eder...have seen her live twice and she did this song. She, Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand & Whitney Houston are the only true DIVAS. A diva has a voice that comes along once in a lifetime that sends chills up your spine.
Absolutely definitive. Period.
Best I've heard this song.
What a spectacular rendering, exciting, dynamic and builds to greater heights beautifully. Linda was so solid on this, it's an inspiration for all musicians and a joy to see and hear.
Best rendition
Her hair is almost as beautiful as her voice. O_O
OMG ** Whew ** I could listen to Linda sing 24/7. What a beautiful talented lady she is.Her rendition of "Man of La Mancha" is 2nd to none, man or woman. Pure perfection. ** a beautiful voice, a beautiful smile w/those beautiful dimples. WOW
I am performing your version of this in my Charity show this coming Saturday 13th Sept 2014. Yours is the best version I have heard. Thank you for sharing your remarkable instrument and gift
I am obsessed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have only recently discovered Ms. Linda Eder and what a thrill she is!. Aside from The Voice, she is poised and the consummate professional with a stage presence that I find mesmerizing. Someday I would just love to hear her in person. She is on my list--the good one, that is!! And yes, that all-knowing eyebrow raise is just priceless!! Brava!!
Incredible!
I have seen her twice in concert.....a MUST see if you get the chance. The orchestra backup is incredible. I'm 80 years old and love great music.
Just possibly the finest performance of a "pop" "Broadway" song ever.
Once in a great while, it all comes together perfectly. This was one of those very rare moments.
Even better than any male singer.
Shear perfection, will be seeing her this Dec in Irvine. Can't wait!
She's amazing. I want to find more singers with that kind of talent. Unfortunately, everyone is on a Li'l Wayne binge.
I think she recognized and acknowledged someone in the audience by raising her eyebrows. Beautiful voice singing a powerful song.
Hello Linda fans. You may have seen me commenting on other Linda videos. Linda is amazing and should be president so she can sing all her speeches and make Linda fans happy.
Unbelievably powerful! What range and incomparable musicality. I'm stunned that I've only now discovered this artist.
She is fantastic!!
Holy sh*t... beyond wonderful!!!
that little eyebrow raise at 2:24 is like " Oh you want me to go higher? I can do that"
Easily the best female singer alive today. She has no peer.
This woman is FIRE!!
i wanna sing like her when i grow up...
Her altissimo part was flawless :3 I've listened to this for many times xD
Best rendition of Man of La Mancha heard in a long time!
We first heard Linda sing as part of Paul and Linda at the old Decathlon Athletic Club in Bloomington. This video is amazing. What a voice!

Dave Mona Wow! You heard her at her very beginnings! Lucky you! :)
I've had this song on my playlist for years, can't remember who sent it to me but it was just today that I decided to KZread her. She is amazing. O_O!!!
no unacceptable who gave her permission to be this talented
@star959: This song is a rendering from the 1965 musical with music composed by Mitch Leigh, textbook from Dale Wassermann, and song texts by Joe Darion. The song's title is Man of la Mancha (I, Don Quixote).
Good God she nailed it
she should have got a standing ovation, that was incredible
when she hit that high note, it shattered my bong.
I still think that a woman singing this is a bit odd, like a man singing "I Am Woman", but she won me over within the first few notes. After a lifetime of loving this song, I admit happily that Linda Eder's version instantly became one of my top three or four favorites. Thank you for sharing this!
Let's get her back on Broadway!!
One of my all time favorites.I play it over and over.
Exceptional
My jaw just....dropped....open....
I think I watch this every other day
Judy and Barbra are her biggest influences. :)
I love this woman ;-)

Why are there two dislikes? That's madness.
No one can touch her.
I love the way she swings her long lovely locks at the end. What cheek!

did i watch the same clip you did? cause that's a standing ovasion if there ever was one... people are standing and applauding what more is needed to qualify as a standing ovation?
That's amazing
She does things to me - that I'm not allowed to say on KZread! ;-)
This is incredible, especially from 2:11 onwards! Effortless!
Great
i love this!!!!!
Dang this woman is incredible! Id put her with mariah and whitney she has an amazing voice by far!
@KatherineXIX Incredible, right? I've never heard a singer where the line between belt and head voice was this thin- apart from that, she has one of the best belts I've ever heard...a lot of singers tend to 'yell' a bit while belting, but this is just...wow
holy crap. thats all.
2:25! ohmygoodness!
@meggowaffle9 It's true! haha! And I love how her voice flows.
Âme chante!
@tomasburi I agree! The transition was seamless!
What incredible range
