Lincoln and Grantham Railway
First off, I really do apologies on my bad pronouncements of Navenby and any of the other settlements names...I am trying to pronounce places better and will do better next time...I again apologize for any mispronunciations...please don't let it put you off any of the content it's not been done maliciously or anything...again apologies
A look into the old Lincoln and Grantham Railway...all photos used go to their respective authors...

My grandparents and mum lived at Harmston station with my grandfather being a loco driver working on the many lines around Lincoln . Very interesting
yes, when the line was closed a short loop from the Lincoln to Nottm line was installed to connect with the ECML at newark to maintain links betwwen Lincoln and Grantham , also the old Grantham to Lincoln line was used regulary as a detour for main line steam trains whilst the ECML was being maintained at weekends.also a main line steam train from Grantham came around the curve from Grantham into Lincoln station to fast and overturned under Pelham Bridge.
Another interesting video, again!!! Cheers!!!
Was brilliant Josh doesn't matter how you say the towns or villages if we are from here we know where you mean 😉 xx
that was around 1961 I believe.
The video was absolutely fine, so no worries there. Harmston still has some platform visible which can be seen to the right of the Station Master's House next time you visit.
Great but the Navenby was pronounced wrong, I lived on a farm near Fulbeck and often this line was used on Sundays when maintenance was being done on the main line, many famous locos steamed by, loved these times.

It was again I apologize. It's how I would pronounce it as someone not from the area. I understand the name saying is important but I'd say Wisbech as Wis-bec-h not Wis-Beach for example. But again it's my own pronouncement. Did you enjoy the video regardless?
