Limp Bizkit MEDLEY | Wes Borland Delay Sound (clean) with his old PRS
Музыка
Wishing y'all a happy new year. Here's the first one for 2023. Let's make it a great one :)
Combined some Limp Bizkit songs (mostly) into one (relaxing) medley. Tuning for the songs is C# standard.
Also, I used Wes Borlands old PRS guitar for the video. He sold some of his gear on eBay a few years ago. This PRS was one of three (if I remember correctly) he used on the chocolate starfish recording/live cycle in 2001-ish.
You can see some photos of the guitar here:

Limp bizkit are a severely misunderstood band that were not ready to be taken seriously by the general public.

I mean, they were the biggest thing ever in the late 90s-2000s It kinda became a joke further down the line but there’s a resurgence for sure.

Limp Bizkit could have been a lot better without Fred Durst. That dude had some serious negative impact on both the songs and the image of the band.

That's true.... the new Limp Bizkit album sounds great because he's part of the band now.. I don't know hoe Fred Durst thought the band could do without Wes.
1:14 Wes is severely underrated and when the vocals are taken out of the equation the Limp instrumentation truly shines!

A mí me gusta Fred pero entiendo también tu punto aunque para mí se complementan, escuchar las melodías de wes borland sin voz puedes apreciar unas melodías oscuras y le da un toque diferente y mágico

Even tho I hate Fred's vocals he is actually a great producer among other things. He have an ear to music but sadly doesn't have a voice for it. People talk lots of s--t against him but fail to realize that without Fred you would actually not have anything out of Wes, because Wes usually comes up with random things from which lots of is tone deaf nonsense that barely anyone would actually bother to listen to and needs someone to actually direct him into the right way. This is also why Wes most times had arguments with who ever he worked with. (minus the times when he is on medication and actually lets others take directive). Wes solo projects speak for itself. They are either a parody as he call it but even the ''serious'' ones are nothing much then a bunch of nonsense that sounds like a 5 year old jammed out on his dad's guitar rig ... He have a talent but also he needs direction and someone who will bother to mix down wtf he jams out. Without that there is no music. And back to Fred, honestly he is a good frontman just wish they got an actual singer in their band, to balance everything out perfectly. Sort of like in Linkin Park they had Chester who brought actual singing to the table while without him the frontman Mike or wtf is his name would struggle to keep the band together just with rapping and they would not last at all.

I'm a metal head, I love all sorts of metal such as Industrial, Death, Mathcore, Hardcore, some djent, Nu metal in my young days, anyways I'm not sure why but something about Wes Borland riffs make me feel all warm and gooey inside..hahah Never been a huge fan of LB but I always loved Wes Borlands work. I was happy when he did his Industrial side project (which I miss very much). Like to see him make another BLB record. Wes and Dino Cazares inspired me to pick up guitar myself and yes I was a 90's kid. I miss that era in music.

I am obsessed with Wes’s clean tones on every album. What is great about Bizkit is even despite the sometimes immature ass lyrics etc, the music is what kept me coming back. Borland on guitar, Sam who I think is one majorly underrated bass player. Have you all heard the bass line to “You Bring Out The Worse In Me” Such a sic song, with Wes’s harmonics and other guitar portions of song just sic. Definitely inspired by Jane’s Addiction no question and I luv it. Then we have Otto on drums killn it as usual and DJ Lethal brings such a cool element to the band as well, but yea Wes Borland hands down a huge guitar inspiration. I think their best songs are always the one’s where Wes is playing cool ass clean parts alongside to also then some gnarly heavy distortion. Songs like “Walking Away” off Gold Cobra, too good. Cool video man🤘🎸🤘

No Sour and Stalemate? Man those are two of Wes’ best riffs. I will always love Limp Bizkit. I will always view them as a fantastic melodic rock band that was saddled with a very below average vocalist who was WAY too forced into media fame. If you listen to the instrumental tracks of Limp Bizkit with Fred’s vocals mixed out, those songs are awesome. A talented and lyrical frontman could have killed with those songs
