Limiting Reagent, Theoretical Yield, and Percent Yield
In this stoichiometry lesson, we discuss how to find the limiting reagent (the reactant that runs out first) of a chemical reaction. Then we go over how to use the limiting reagent to determine the theoretical yield and percent yield associated with that chemical reaction.
Thanks for watching! 😀

Why professors don't just take the... 10 minutes to explain this like you? Instead they use 3 class periods to explain the same thing and confuse the hell out of me with terrible explanations. Thank you sir!
You should take care. More students will need you. You are a GREAT help!
i wish more chemistry teachers were like you. my teacher gives us worksheets and does it once on the board and expects us to just understand it. this helped a lot. thanks a bunch
BLESS YOU FOR SAVING ME FOR THE UNIT TEST TOMORROW

My chemistry teachers spells the word chemistry 'chimistry'. Therefore, I think it's kinda obvious who I understood more from.

I paused your video to make 2 chocolate peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwiches. LoL My teacher was making this so much more complex. Finding the limiting reagent is so much easier now! Thank You.
OMG! I'm so glad you solved limiting reagents using the method that I was taught in high school. My college professor uses some other very-confusing method. Thank you for the refresher.
I have a test tomorrow and you saved me! i finally understand this.
My teacher is a lovely lady, but she's terrible at teaching. Your video helped me so much and now I'm feeling WAY more confident about my test on Thursday. Thank you!
Thank you so much! You are the only person thus far who has actually aided in my understanding of this topic.
I finally got this concept!!! Now, I get the analogy and why ingredients are commonly used when teaching stoichiometry!
This video seriously helped me out a lot, I know it was so long ago but I just got introduced to your channel by luck so I had to say how great this video is :)
This video is much better than your old video on limiting reagent. Thanks.
This is the best video ever made explaining stoichiometry! Thank you so much, it really helped!
You are a life saver! I hope that you continue in education, you explained in 10 minutes what my professor struggled to do in hours of lecture.
Just want you to know that your old video about this saved me a few hours before my chemistry quiz last week. Thank you for these video.
Thank you for your videos! Helps to reinforce the concepts skimmed over in class.
Thanks, Ben. You are a lifesaver.
Perfectly clear and straightforward explanation. Thanks!
I UNDERSTAND THIS SOOO MUCH BETTER! THANK YOU!
I have seen several of videos expelling the same topics...still couldn't comprehend anything then i found this video and it became a piece of cake. Thanks!
MAY GOD BLESS YOU!!! You SAVED me on my final College Chemistry Exam!!! :D
thank you so much! huge help for my test tommorow!!
these videos are phenomenal!
thanks so much for this simple and straight demo
Thank You. You are fluent and explain it really well
Thank you so much!! I love the way you explain everything!
Thanks Ben..... Since long time i was in search of this concept and you made it very easy
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS! IT'LL HELP MY STUDENTS UNDERSTAND THE TOPIC IN SIMPLE WAY.
wish all my professors taught and looked like you! LOL

Great video! Very helpful!
u r really good man... really really appreciate your time and videos..
this was soooo much help thank you! you explain this much clearer than my honors chemistry teacher
Thanks so much, this was really helpful!
After watching a million videos, this is the first one to help me understand!

Ben, you just save me from failing chemistry man. Thanks bro!
Finally, I found actual help!!!
Thank you soo much!! this was extremely helpful :)
You are amazing ..finally I understood this by watching your video . Kindly make more videos on this topic please . Thanks a lot .
this video may have saved my life. thank you :')

thank you kind sir, all the other videos i watched for this were dumb
Thank you very much!!
Great video!
Thank you so much!!
Thank you sir, good video.
Dude you're a life saver man. Could you upload a video on equilibria and organic reactions? It would be awesome if you did 😄
good job on this lecture and teaching
this helped so much thx
Great tutorial.
Thank youuuuuu! I have a Final in 3 hrs lol.. this was helpful!
Thanks a lot :D !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It helped me a lot

used this for my homework problems great video
THANK YOU 😊
Thank you so so so much
My wifi is making it hard to watch my teacher's 3 videos and this literally had all the concepts, I feel saved.
Hey dude, thanks for all your screencast video, it's been a huge help, but i think im confused a bit about the classification off all these knowledge, i hope after finishing the general chemistry, ya will make a video to summarize and classify about all of your general chemistry serious, bye. (thanks)
i have my finals in 2 hours and your channel just saved me. thank you and good job with the explanation on your videos. my dumbass teacher can barely explain whats 2 + 2
Thank you so much
Quick question, I used your method to find the limiting reagent and theoretical yield(thank you sooo much!!!) but now I'm stuck on "for the reactant in excess, what will be the mass left over in the reaction" and I have no idea how to do that. Help?
you sir. are my new hero lol
You Da Real MVP!!! :'D
thank u so much < u really helped me :)
I liked the video. My only request is that you should do a few more examples.
thanks ben
Now I want a peanut butter jelly sandwhich......and I have plenty of bread and jelly but no peanut butter :(
Great video! Very helpful. You also look like Jesse Eisenberg :o
best damn explaination ever
I was wondering if a video could tell me how much excess reagent is leftover... Thank You this video was great.
Thankyou
thank u :)
