I promoted for limelight and tunnel from 93-96 no doubt the time of a lifetime I give Peter Gatien so much credit because he sat back and let people who really knew what they were doing do their thing from rock ‘n’ roll church on Sundays to alternative night on Tuesdays disco 2000 on Wednesdays,unbelievable DJs Friday and Saturday night truly was a classic unforgettable New York City nightclub

ohh Limelight from 91-94 was the shit if you love Techno, props to Repete, Kioki and Franky bones, the brought techno to NYC. Than Adam X(Frankie Bones brother) and heather heart did a good job afterwards by keeping it going.

Ive seen things you people wont believe.. 2001, Tiesto on the decks, LL is packed and dark, Gatecrasher turns up the lasers, youre standing on a platform bathed in green laser light ocean waves, vibrating to the crescendo of sound, hundreds of people moving to the drum and techno beat all those nights, will be lost in time.. like tears in the rain.

I was 15 years old, and growing up in NJ, outside of Giants Stadium. Get dressed in BK, smallest clothes possible, head to Limelight, Palladium (where my cousin managed) and dance all night, sweaty, young, unaltered, scared in the bathroom scene, BUT all the more, free to be.

I remember in 1995 you had to have a gig of an outfit to get in. I got in wearing a school girl outfit and was proud to get in! The club was the best with the best music...I chose alcohol over dugs but was offerred E for 20.00 a pill when I was there and said no. There was nothing like this club ever since studio 54

Saw Quiver and Hybrid DJ sets there summer of 01, I really don't remember any aquarium in the bar, but I musta totally missed it. My stories aren't dope like everyone else's here, but I will say I had a great time the 2 times I went, good vibe, great music and as others said, you cannot beat ravin in a gothic revival church @ 20th & 6th, what's more dope than that? Sad that it's a fashion market now, bring it back!

i just visited pacha on boris heaven and hell night. god, i want cry how bad it was comparing to limelight, tunnel, sound factory, bank, carbon, even roxy.... how is nyc still considered #1 when the clubs are laughable. I had more fun in chinese disco club in Xiamen then at pacha nyc. its so fukn sad. someone please invent a time machine and warp me back!

I used to go to Limelight in 1992. I know the club was open after 1995, but pretty much by 1994-95 it was over. that became the era of the Tunnel, Twilo, then uchh.. Sound Factory... oh no! Every day I say,"That's it, I'm letting it go"... It's like one of those tortures in the Greek hell. I can't go on. This is so crappy.

Hi guys I need help finding an old club song from this era. It was the early 1990s and I heard it multiple times at Limelight. It was a techno or rave Track (i guess) but I could be wrong. I don't have a clue what the name would have been for the song but it was dark synth had heavy driving base that wasn't overwhelming no lyrics to it instrumental but part of the song had a michael myers halloween vibe to it. It was as a slightly slower tempo than the move theme but it was so bad ass! I know this is a shoot in the dark but if anyone else remembers the song I would love to hear it again. I scoured the internet but I have not found it. Old school DJs please help me out. lol

Webster Hall was pretty great in its heyday. However, it was more of a "bridge & tunnel" crowd... Which was a lot different as opposed to Limelight, or The Tunnel.

that cannot be lamer - can you imagine eating shitty mass produced pancakes where **((*(&&&(*( got a ()**_)((_(Y^^ from *&^%$%*() and a *&^% did a bunch of *&^()_ with *&^%*( then spent a sweaty hour on the dance floor listening to Keoki or Lord Michael? Beyond understanding.

omg i have never seen so many errors in one place before. Plastikman's "Spastik" sounds NOTHING like that. And I'm pretty sure Josh WINK would be upset at you misspelling his name. So would the staff of Nervous Records. The first track on this video, as has already been said 1000 times is Rez, by Underworld.

overrated small club. never liked how cramped it was in there. cool place for a club, just too small for my taste. i preferred webster hall 1000 times over.

Webster Hall was pretty great in its heyday. However, it was more of a "bridge & tunnel" crowd... Which was a lot different as opposed to Limelight, or The Tunnel.
I love the part where the people running this place were being escorted by the police in cuffs on tv news for all the drugs in this place. Next week we would be back doing it all over again lol
