Tbh the *literal tutorial* says that every canto there’s going to be a dungeon, they gotta hire like 3 people to solely fix the tutorial/lore inconsistency’s

@@Unimaginative12 tutorial is narrated by faust, and as we know from chapter 6 she doesn't always know stuff. so lore-wise that tutorial is actually correct

so, how're the impressions of this canto afterall? I can see some things that could be counted as missing opportunities, but overall fundamentally this canto is much higher than all others

I really liked it overall, I'm honestly not sure how I'd rank the Cantos yet especially since Ishmael and Heathcliff are up there in my favourite sinners even before their focus releases (Don upcoming is up there.) 4 did have issues with pacing and them putting way too many fights whilst 5 was slower with a lot of setup that was needed with the Great Lake on top of meeting Ahab only in the last part. The Middle and Twin Hooks are not really major for Ishmael outside of providing background for Queequeg, although we do get to build our impression of Ahab beforehand with how manic Ishamel becomes. 6 goes right into things, meeting all the characters important for Heathcliff and we don't wait too long to get glimpses of Cathy to build up who we think she is throughout and then Erlking acts as a twist villain. The lighting strike flashbacks also work well structurally to get more backstory throughout. I also didn't mind not having a Dungeon, there are some Abnormalities which work aesthetically with the Canto and some work in relating to the characters like Drifting Fox and Slitcurrent but some feel just there to fight and don't tie in to the story much so it was a nice change of pace + since we were in Wuthering Heights there is no need for any location change to a character's past like with Yi Sang. I haven't read Wuthering Heights myself yet but with how much this Canto is used to explore the overarching Limbus plot: our first Sinner distortion and Carmen interaction, N Corp's Identity experiments and them being our main villain group, Leviathan and Vergilius, a focus on the multiverse of the Mirrors etc. I can imagine some people may be left wanting for something more grounded maybe. Classism is touched upon, which I understand is one the themes of the book but this Canto doesn't delve into social commentary as much, 4 explored the relationship with technology whilst 5 explores the meatgrinder as Ishmael puts it. Catherine's now one of my favourite supporting characters so far now. With Heathcliff remembering her I would love to see him get her back but at the same time I can imagine them maybe developing Heathcliff to get over his obsession and let go of her which can work too. Out of interest, what do you see as missed opportunites for you?

@@28JFJ Well, mostly who things - Heathcliff Distortion resolved too quickly (no commentary about Carmen, no additional continuation, just one sigle fight and we just forget about it, despite it being the fisrt time our own sinner actually distorting), with being placed as a cliffhanger and hyped up so much in the end of second part of the canto, it's just feels off because of this abrupt ending. And the second one about Isabela, it's feels like she was used just to close the gap with whole Ids stuff like whose body Matt Heathcliff was using. I also didn't read this book, but I think it would be a little bit more interesting if she was introduced as a character a little bit beforehand, because when they talked about her I for example didn't care at all. She "appeared" and "dissappeared" in one single cutscene just for us to know that "she also existed like in the book". The whole situation with Nelly also feels a little bit off, but I am assuming that's because we don't know the story behind how she got to know about mirror worlds. Well, that's basically it. I heard some people complaining that the whole pacing in 3rd part was off, but I didn't notice/mind it, I just enjoyed the KINO(and cried a little).

@@ryominto Oh I can agree with those two, hopefully they talk about Heathcliff distorting in the future especially with how much Limbus Company (the company itself) seems interested in Distortions and we also have Sinclair-Phillip who experienced Carmen talking to him as well. Isabela does feel like she's just there yeah, I wondered who was the person Matt-Heathcliff took over but based on chat mentioning how she was in the book it feels like a reference to her role there to those who know. It sort of shows how far Linton would go for Cathy and we do get an idea that Gregor-Linton does care for her, though without a Cathy influencing his life. Nelly it seems was introduced to the Mirror Worlds by Hermann since was mentioned how everything was manipulated by her. As Faust says anyone introduced to the Mirror World possibilities would lose it especially in her case where her life gets ruined everywhere because of Heathcliff and Cathy. Though I do wonder if there's a possibility Hermann didn't let Nelly see that worked out fine, like how Erlking never saw the possibility at the end Looking forward to the next for sure~
