They all run beautifully Carl. Where would we have been without Lima. They made so many different models with virtually the same motors. I'm hunting one of those SNCF 2 8 2s in Australia as we speak. King George V looks brilliant too. I really like the GWR 2 6 2 as well, I've got a couple of them. I also have the green version of the j50, it's a great runner like yours. Your collection is growing in epic proportions mate. Steven.

Hi Steven, thankyou so much. I really hope you get the 2-8-2. You can,t beat the old Lima,s butty. I,v got quite a few now. But only these 5 steamers, I,l have to look out for more. I would,nt mind getting the LMS Crab. Please show the 2-8-2 when you get it. All the best butty. Carl.

Those Lima Ho 2-8-2s are great. I have one of the American version which is the exact same model but has no smoke deflectors and a Santa Fe livery. It is a great runner, the body had some cracks around the cab but they were easily fixed with some super glue. I got it on e-bay for Au $70 and got 2 Lima box cars and a gondola for Au $20 each. Hi Darryl, I was in two minds about the 2-8-2 but I,m glad I carried on bidding. I won by £1, I did go a little higher than usual but I,m glad I did. I put it out on Facebook on wednesday and had quite a response on there. I did,nt know that they did an American version, i,l have to keep my eye open. Thankyou for watching. All the best butty. Lima steam locos tend to be overlooked but they can be really good runners if looked after. I have the French loco. It's an American -built 141R and mine is in green SNCF livery with etched brass number plates. Great video!

@@carlgauntletttrains3026 Hello Carl, thank you for your reply. Yes you have a great model railway. It was my birthday yesterday, I am now 69, although I sometimes feel 169 . Lol. I left school in 1970 age 15 and got a job with British Rail as a Junior railman ( lad Porter) in a railway goods yard. We had a class 08 as the yard shunter and the driver showed me how to drive the locomotive. I was only 15!, what an experience that was. I know I wasn't supposed to, but as we used to say, " what the eye doesn't see, the heart doesn't greave". That's what the 08 driver said to me. Happy days indeed, sadly the railway yard closed and if you saw the site now you wouldn't even know that there was ever a railway line here. What used to be railway lines is now a dual carriageway running along next to the river Humber and passing the Humber Bridge. I think they call it progress. ??. Oh well, see you on your next video. 👍🚂

@@martinhall60 Hi Martin, I know how you feel. I,m 66 and retired in December. I left school in 1974 and worked for ICI in Pontypool. I worked there for 25 years, it's been closed for a few years now. They want to build a village on the site. So sad. I worked the last 19 years for ASDA in CWMBRAN. No one seems to be happy there anymore. I wouldn't want to be starting work now. I think we had the best years. Thankyou all the best. Carl.

Lima locos are underrated if I count the Starter set ones I have I have 6 lima locos from various time periods, they all run great!
