Lilly Reich, the forgotten modernist designer behind the Barcelona chair

Lilly Reich part 1 of 2. She was one of the most important modernist designers in the pre-war era. Her furniture are today well known classics, but her name is almost forgotten, hidden in the shadow of co-worker Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. This is the first video of two about Lilly Reich.

Hello! Well, Tugendhat means “took a hat” in Swedish. (Not the same spelling but exactly the same pronunciation.) And saying “Fritz took a hat” suddenly sounded a bit ridiculous :)
