Not European. Their parents are both Romanian, but they were born and raised in California and the whole family moved to Georgia a year or so ago. They learned their trade by busking on the Santa Monica Pier. They are very talented. Lead Singer Melody is the Middle child and also plays flute, as well as Bass. The Oldest is Samuel, the Guitar player, who apparently is learning the Violin now. His guitar skills are outstanding. He also does the video editing, etc. The 2nd Child is the drummer, Abigail and she recently married. Ethan is the Bass Player and used to play Rhythm Guitar; he is currently learning drums as well. Justin is the youngest and the Keyboard Player. Their father is a music producer. They are independent and have 3 cover albums and 3 albums of original material. An old original song called "Mars" is a chance to see Sam's guitar skills, and how well they sound playing live

Actually Liliac is American, theiir parents are from the Transyllvania Region of Romania, abiout am hour from Dracula's Castle, hence the bat themes. Liliiac literally means bat in Romanian.

With a little research you would have found that this phenomenon known as Liliac is a wholly American born band who have parents who immigrated to the US from Romania , they all play multiple instruments and all have talents other than music ,they have millions of fans known as fangs worldwide and are completely independent doing everything themselves . Their father known as Papa Liliac is ,their manager and producer, they write all their own original songs, approximately 40 to date,all amazing and have a knack of producing tribute covers some of which are better than the original, their most viewed tribute cover is Metallicas ENTER SANDMAN with over 12 million views and their most original song MARS from a live gig in Cumming Georgia you have to see to believe . The Parents are from Romania. Papa Liliac (Florin Christea) was born in Transilvania, near the "Dracula Castle" The Parents married in the US and the Kids are born in US. Liliac (you pronounce it right) is the romanian Word for a (Vampire)Bat. Greetings from Germany

They are US based and the new tour is in the US. Dio is the singer Melody's idol. Absolutely go down the Liliac rabbit hole. Everything they do is incredible. They started busking on the Santa Monica pier in 2015. Their current ages range from 15 - 24. For an original live performance - "Mars" Live in Cumming, GA 2019. Three original songs from their new album, all unique, are "Madness", "Carousel", and the ballad, "Somber Cry". Their newest cover is "Heaven and Hell" by Black Sabbath. They don not block their content. They write, record, and film all of their content. Samuel, the lead guitarist edits all the videos. Their dad "Papa Liliac is their producer. They are an independent band, but did just signed with the booking agency TKO.

Only the parents are from Romania, the rest were raised in California, and now live in Georgia. If you want to be convinced they are serious, check out their originals. Start with Mars - Live in Cummings Georgia. They have three albums of originals. Melody the lead singer, has an absolutely amazing range, and has one of the most unique voices. They are just kids in this video and have come a long way since then.

You were wondering if they are serious…yes, definitely. Their parents are from Romania, the kids were all born in California and a few years ago they moved near Atlanta, GA. They started out playing on the Santa Monica Pier when the oldest Sam was seventeen and the youngest, Justin the keyboard player was only eight. When their parents realized how talented they were, they started home schooling them so they could also attend music school. The four oldest all graduated from high school when they reached age sixteen, Justin is sixteen now and is on track to graduate this year. They have a very heavy upcoming tour schedule all across the US. When they started out they did covers, then they started writing and composing their own music and now have released three albums of original music. They occasionally still do some covers, especially if requested by the fans who called “fangs”. Liliac means bat in Romanian, specifically referring to vampire bats. So they coined the term vamp metal. You should definitely review more of their videos, especially Northing, Dear Father, Mystery, We Are the Children, Mar’s (live in Cumming, GA) which begins with a killer guitar solo by Sam, Sail Away, Not Afraid, Carousel, Madness, which are all originals. They recently did a cover of Heaven and Hell, after they took a poll of their fans asking which song they should make a video of next. Their covers literally never disappoint, but I can't wait to see you do some of their originals. There's a ton to choose from (everything from ballads to full on head bangers).

The lead singer Melody, is a huge RJD fan and idolizes him, they're American with parents from Romania, Wendy Dio, the widow of RJD asked them to do a cancer fund tribute to "Last in line" and they finished it in a week, it's phenomenal like all of their covers and their originals are fire. A very talented family. I'm hoping you go down the Liliac rabbit hole, I'll be there for every one your reactions

Thank you, I did say I was not completely sure. But I appreciate everyone pointing out the correct info. Funny thing i am originally from Georgia had no idea they were there now. Small World, not too mention one of my best friends from growing up was also from Ronmania. Thank you for being here with us.

Not sure what Bone means when he said are they serious about this? They are very serious about what they do. They are choosing to stay Independent. They have three original albums out, they have a huge following, they have been on tv shows America’s got Talent and The World’s best. They have been on the KISS cruise twice. They have toured the US at least three times and are working on doing a European tour, although they did play a big festival in India last year. They have also opened for some big names. Melody the singer is the Middle child. Sam is the oldest lead guitar, then Abigail on drums, then Melody, then Ethan on Bass, and then Justin on Keys. They are American born and yea they speak English. They have done a lot at their very young ages.

They are not a European band formerly from California started out on Santa Monica pier weekends now based in Georgia USA they have 3 albums new material lead singer Melody is a big Fan of Ronnie James Dio chekout there most recent Tribute Black Sabbaths Heaven and Hell or originals like Mars live in Cummings Georgia Madness or Carousel evrything they do originals and tributes are phenomenal.

Thank you for the info I was going off a comment on one of their videos but was not totally certain.

They are an LA based American heavy rock band. They cover Ossie, Dio, Metallica, Megadeath, Joan Jett, Janice Joplin, White Stripes great. They have 10-15 original songs. Pick anyone. They are all excellent and innovative. Melody is third oldest lead singer has great range and classic rock voice. Samuel oldest is a master guitarist a shreader. Abby is second oldest sister is a very good drummer.

Sail Away is a good orignal

there is quiet a few family bands out there right now. Liliac, The Warning, Motion Device an Greta Van Fleet. Me I like Liliac the best, but the other bands are good also, worth checking out for sure. RO&RH

If you like this, you should watch their video of HEAVEN AND HELL! it's a great rendition for sure! Best cover I've seen in my 62 years!

You may hate Dio, but what about Metallica? HIGHLY recommend the live version of Master of Puppets ft. Aiden Fisher. I love all of their originals - Carousel and Madness are new, but I would go back to Mars (live) or maybe Dear Father. I personally really like their live version of Vertigo - from a live DVD they released about a year ago with material mostly from their 2d album and it's superb.

They are born in USA…but they're origin is in Romania,Transilvania.

They are a killer band I hope to see tomorrow night....anyway their originals are amazing but if you want to see if they are taking it " seriously " check out master of puppets. 🤙

Hello. Had to stop to comment part way. No, they are all US born from Romanian born parents. The parents emigrated to the States as children. Met each other in High school and married, gave birth to a Vamp Metal Band. They busked on the Santa Monica pier very young for 5 years. They do have stage presence which is lacking in most bands. Plus, I'm old. I wish that if you try to do an comparison you do it with a real band. Like the Monkey's, the Partridge Family was made up for TV. However, in the 60s we had a real family band that had hits like Flower Girl, Indian Lake, and Hair named the Cowsils. Just FYI. This family band has originals. Like the pier, you get a mix of Originals and covers. They have Chain of Thorns EP, Queen of Hearts all originals, and their current Madness album. Hope I don't have to stop anymore. Peace.
