This metal rusty asf like it went to a sceptic tank 💩💩💩. I'am not gonna boast about how hard metal is to perform but my tip to remove the rust is (opinionated): - Learn different screams (fry, growls, tunnel scream), talk slow and deeper. - Learn some sort of plot diagram because (modern) metal has a lot of different parts and breakdowns, take Dying Song by slipknot for instance, soft parts before loudness, a transitioning verse that's getting loud before the major loud parts, has a no voice and instruments only section, singing verses differently even as a repetition. - Use heavy instruments specifically, loud guitar and drum riffs should have 70%-100% presence in the music. Metal like any music can be good alone with their instruments. - Unlike rap, metal is not supposed to follow or rhyme with the instruments all the time, the instruments are the one supposed to support the voice. - Try to copy someone else's style (lyrically and instrumentally) and incorporate your own to get the hang of it, even the most talented singers like Kim Dracula and Chris Motionless had inspiration from old singers. - Metal is the type of music that you listen for the meaning of the lyrics, so have the title be the main topic and write lyrics around it, like "Night stalkers" by Megadeth, and "Falling away from me" by KoRn
