Live vocals are so hard especially on this level! I did a performance in front of 10k in a stadium once and even tho you have an ear piece it’s so hard to find that pitch in the beginning with so much going on around you. He did so well! Also this is such a huge performance for him and his career no doubt he was nervous as hell

Yes the hip hop rap community is still homophobic but is not that bad they have his back one thing I know black folks will still got each other back. So he is safe with his people in the industry.

I abandoned my dream of being a hip hop artist 15 years ago because a local dj hosted a mixtape for me and then stopped working with me after he found out I was gay. Everyone I knew told me I had to make a choice. Either be out and give up on music, or go back to being closeted. I was in love and didn't want to break up with him so I stopped recording music. I love that Lil Nas totally rejected the idea that you can't be a successful hip hop artist and be gay. Wish I had that courage 15 years ago.

BET was like we not showing you the audience reactions 😭😂 that kiss at the end was a big “fcck you” to majority of that audience.

Props to him for actually singing!!! Too much lip syncing these days

Yes but he uses autotune, it's really subtle but you can hear it especially when he performed sun goes down n montero at snl. I think he uses it cause he moves too much
