The name of the original song is "The Sun Will Never Shine" by a band called NUM212 from East Germany. Published as a single, it was their only release in 1982.

Debunked: The track features a Yamaha DX7 synthesiser which wasn't released until 1983. Plus there is no trace anywhere of a band called "NUM212". The song is probably an unpublished demo.

I heard this song a few days ago. (6-5-2023) I'm no genius but I have no idea how it remained a secret for so long as I found it pretty quick. Anyway here is the info on it. Kind of sad to see it solved but on a positive note maybe the band will come forward. I really like the song and have it on my phone. BTW, the track that is posted here is not the original song. To me this is someone who used a synthesizer to duplicate all of the instruments.

I can upload the entire song but I'm not sure how ? Are people still wondering what the name is and who the band is ? It was written in 1984 that is correct but it's not Like the Wind.
