Really wished the producers had asked Kobe if he could have appeared in this movie given how charismatic he was off the court and his soft spot for kids he probably would have enjoyed shooting this movie with Bow Wow especially as it would have sent him back to his aspiring rapper roots he started around 1999-2000 when he won his first NBA title! Really interesting to think about how differently the film might have turned out! 🏀🏆

They tried to get him to. They even filmed a scene that was meant to show Calvin crossing him over, but either because of the season, or his legal issues, they had to use the raptors as Calvin’s last opponents.

I get why they used CGI for the jumping part... but why the fuck didnt they just have him hang off the rim and film it post-dunk. Just put a pad underneath and it'd be fine and look WAY better.
