I want to point out that technically Mr. Han never actually throws a strike or kick at any of the boys at all during his scene fighting the boys. He sticks to defensive techniques as well as deflecting the boys’ own strikes against one another. Goes to show how much of a moral compass Mr. Han has, he refuses to hit a kid, even when the kid is attacking him. Respect.

One of the things I didn't like about this movie. The intro of Miyagi in the original one was quick and to the point, this one just simply felt drawn out too much.

I actually wonder if that’s true. I wonder if it is possible that at some point before Mr. Miyagi passed away the two met. I would kind of like to see in future installments to the franchise Jackie Chan return as his character from this film and possibly Dre too, if they can convince Jaden Smith.

This movie always makes me cry, how passionate this guy is, how he handles his pain and so on.

It didn't take Myagi that long to take out the Kobra Kais.

The best part of the movie is this when they give Jaden, Will Smith's conceited and unbearable son, what he deserves, it's fiction but I enjoyed it a lot anyway hahahahaha

Completely different movies, universes and plots, friend. You simply won’t enjoy it to the fullest if you’re expecting to notice familiarity between the classic movies and this one. Detach from nostalgia and just enjoy the film. This was a pretty good movie.

I agree. I’ve always thought it was dumb that they did that, but maybe the studio thought the film would be seen as a parody film instead of a reboot like it was supposed to be, if I’m not mistaken.

Still prefer the original 1984 version.
