@@flippinfunkos left a job in March for that exact reason. Overworked and no hope of ever increasing wages. In business for myself and cut out the middlemen. Much happier. Make my own hours and I get to choose when I’m underpaid or not.

So if I dont use the service and others dont use the service guess what? somebody losses their job, so in turn by not tipping them I'm still keeping them employed by using the service.

@@mackjones8409 I disagree that it would prove problematic. If all non tippers stopped using tip based services tomorrow, it opens up time and opportunity for the worker to serve customers who are actually participating in the business model.

I tip even when I get take out. Not the full 20% but still leave a tip.

DoorDash workers make the majority of their income from tips, not from the company itself.

I tip all the time, but it’s getting ridiculous. Using the service has a price associated with with it. Tipping is optional, and you pretending it isn’t isn’t going to help anyone. I haven’t stiffed a waiter in my memory, but as the quality gets worse and worse, I am getting tempted. Also, 20% isn’t written in stone. If you provide GREAT service 20% is a good guideline, but 15% is normal service tipping at a decent check range.

I can’t tell you what to do but only a POS uses a persons service and doesn’t pay them for it.
