Well they were kinda like the metaphorical flies buzzing around a dying Kiryu the entire game. Even in gameplay Ebina pretty much shruggs off most of their lame attacks

Definitely a better fight than Bryce, which was pretty underwhelming in nearly every way. The music, the intensity, Ebina's insane moveset, Kiryu catching and breaking the sword, and his tearful apology to Ebina after defeating him - just an all around incredible fight and sequence.

i feel like bryce's *fight* was cool, but the actual story surrounding it was what made it so underwhelming

@@benadrylwarlock I think I just wanted it to be a little more over-the-top. Like maybe Bryce had a military prototype exo-suit he got in exchange for taking a country's nuclear waste. Or like a robot loader machine. Or a helicopter. Kiryu's final fight fits him perfectly. Ichiban's felt like it needed a little more "Dragon Quest" flair instead of just fighting a geriatric gangster with two uzis and his henchman.

This is one of the best final bosses in the Yakuza/Like A Dragon games. Man i wonder what will be RGG´S new next game , because this was one insane game (Also it deserves the GOTY Title).

I still can’t believe they gave a side game (gaiden) the best final boss instead of (most likely) kiryu’s last final boss in a main game

Finish the yokohama dungeon it rakes in a bunch of cash and levels if you use the training gear on the party members you use

Complete as many side missions and dungeon battles as you can. Also don’t be afraid to fight all the NPC that comes your way. By the time I got to this mission every battle was a breeze

Use the Money Sucker skill from the Maid class and you will be ballin’ my friend

Managed to beat him at level 47, it was a death march though. Wish the game had warned me to be level 50 before taking on that last dungeon.

You should change the title into (say) the name of the boss, there are more people pissed than people don't care about spoiler like me

Hate that it never reveals what happened to ebina in the end.

Don't worry about that, I already know from red venom corp, and eventhough the title doesn't say final boss, I can even figure it's the final boss battle, or at least close to the end of the game, just by looking through full cutscene

If you're under lvl 45, it's basically impossible, so just grin the yokohama dungeon and do any life links, and you'll be good.

SPOILER: Kiryu had no difficulty against Ichiban, with his half-brother Ebina they fought well😂

kinda veeery dull character to me, but overall scene was one of the most engraved ones in my memory: cinematic shots from floor (gaiden moment), music sync, half dead Kiryu's cry and his final regret of abandoning 4th chairman position. Just sad story felt rushed through last chapters

This final fight was pretty underwhelming. Gaiden has a way better final boss.

They both are 180 degree opposite. Shishido wanted to rebuild yakuza while Ebina wanted to destroy it. So you can't say that Gaiden has a way better final boss, except for the how to battle.

i'd have to agree that the fight itself is kinda underwhelming. when you compare him with tendo as a turn-based final boss because tendo had consecutive turns, more attack options and a larger health pool. not to mention his "God's right hand" had me spamming peerless resolve. edit: lol i forgot tendo wasn't actually the final boss of y7 but it sure felt like it than the actual final boss.

Honestly Gaiden was when Kiryu last fought in the twilight of his prime against a monster like Shishido who clawed his way to his position from fighting in pits and Tendo was a heavyweight boxing champion whose prowess nearly made him a world champion and more than earned his dragon irezumi. Both are simply pure monsters in combat as their fights show. Ebina was a trained officer before joining the yakuza and was no slouch in a 5-1 fight, practically taking everyone out by the end except for Kiryu to finish. If this was Kiryu in his prime I’d estimate Ebina would have still given him a good fight, but perhaps not to the level as the other two would have.

I'm sorry to say that Ebina's final battle was anticlimactic for me. He is less impressive or powerful-looking than Ryuji Goda or others in the past.
