This is amazing! So happy that you explained the "reality" of the photo as you did. It's so true. You are not manipulating the photo, but rather bringing out what is already there and what your eye actually saw. Thank you for bringing introducing all the many things Lightroom can do that I never knew it could.

This was extremely educational! I'm buying your course on Lightroom. I had no idea that there was the ability to do more advanced adjustments AND I'll make sure I always shoot in RAW! Thanks Serge! Your tutorials are easy to follow, not extremely techy and I like that you explain every step. Someday I'd like to come to Paris :)

Fantastic Tutorials Serge. I just found your You Tube channel earlier this week and have applied your technique to my recent holiday photos. It really transformed the images. I've now applied the basic adjustments to many of my images and find it works brilliantly on both B&W and colour to create strong contrasty images. I've learned more in this one week on LR4 than in the last 3 months.

I always shoot in RAW and use the standard Canon Digital Photo Professional DPPViewer. After viewing your KZread videos, I decided to buy Lightroom. I also like your presentation style, your photo's and your sense of humor. Thanks for sharing your knowledge of Lightroom and keepshooting.

A simpler and quicker way to show before and after is to hit the backslash key "\". This only works in the develop module. If you're in the library module it will bring up the filter bar. Great video as usual. I love both your photography style and teaching style. Very enjoyable. Look forward to it each week.

great video! my one piece of advice is, before filming, close all the other apps that you aren't using. it looks like you have a couple open. this might help a little bit with the lag issues. of course, lens correction is a memory intensive function and 16 gig or RAM is tons, but maybe it'll help speed things up a bit. thanks for the video! loved it!

Im excited! I have used PS for a long time and have FINALLY made the jump to LR. And hey I see you are in Paris. I have just returned from Europe (Oct). I do film and photography and have 18 countries that I am uploading on my KZread page and website! I hope you will stop by and check out your home area!

wow very informative Serge, thank you. One question though; when youre finished working on your RAW file in Lightroom and you export the image, what file format do you prefer to use? I find i lose alot of the colour and details when exporting a RAW file into a jpeg. Thanks.

The only thing about doing so much work in Lightroom like this, is that it doesn't look anything like 'reality' it looks like an artificial HDR shot. Its nice, it you like that sort of thing, but it looks more like a painting than a photo.
