LIGHTNING STRIKES TWICE! UNBOXING LIGHTNING PIED BALL PYTHONS!!!!
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
This pair of MJ Pieds are a HUGE gain for BlindStryke!
Note: To avoid any further misinformation; a "Lightning Pied" is only created using the MJ axanthic line of axanthic. You CAN NOT create a lightning pied with VPI, TSK, or Jolliff.
MJ just created a post today (9/17/21) regarding this exact issue. DO YOU RESEARCH!

That girl on the end was the star of this video🤣
I personally like the look of the male myself. They are both very “striking” though. I can’t wait to see what they produce and hopefully soon.

They’re stunning!!
I have seen people argue over the lightning pied name. I am glad that you mentioned it.

Those are so cool
What breeders did you get them from
Beautiful snakes! My pied is a nice mix of white and brown, his name is cowboy 🤠
We have a breeding pair of VPI Axanthic 100% het for Lavender Albino from Dave and Tracy Barker. Hoping to produce some lavender Snows next year. I do recommend quarantining everything you get in no matter where they come from. I'm not going to shame anyone but I've gotten snakes with mites from prolific breeders. I quarantine everything now for a min of 60 days (90 if it's wc). Congrats on the animals though! I need to get something from you soon!

I do quarantine everyone... I said there was no need to quarantine 2 snakes from the same collection. Which is what the 2 lightning pieds were. The axanthic projects are awesome! I almost jumped on some lavender snows a few months back, but now I'm thinking of refraining from buying different axanthic lines so I don't mix them up!
We named our Axanthix male Kylo Ren
What would you get out of a vpi and pie ?
You can call her "Omega" from the new series Star Wars: The Bad Batch :-)
I love athentics pi ball pythons. I’ve been trying to get one my self any tips where? I know reptile shows but none are there from what I saw

Lightning pied like these are hard to come by, but you can find other types of axanthic pied on Morphmarket. I have a few hatchlings for sale that can make Lightning pied!

I agree that technically mj pied is the only lightning pied but I personally think it's silly both are axanthic pied but only one is allowed to be called lighting, I personally think it would be okay to refer to them all as lightning pied but hey I don't make the rules I just follow them and buy snakes 😄🤷
@SNKELTD

There's a pretty big visual difference in the genetics between the axanthics. That's why they're separated out. Plus they're also not compatible with eachother.

@@SNKELTD yeah same goes for albino and lavender albino they're both visually different and have different genetics but you mix them with axanthic of any kind or either albino and they're still snows one's just a snow and the other is a lavender snow which would be no different than saying a lightning pied or a VPI lightning pied, but like I said I don't make the rules I just think sometimes names are taken too serious lol I don't see why it's a big deal if somebody wants to call it a lightning, I personally wouldn't because it's frowned upon but if it was accepted I would, but nonetheless if somebody called a VPI a lightning as long as they were being honest about it being VPI and not MJ I would still buy it
FYI - I refer to all axanthic pieds as lighting pieds. I hope more people start doing this. Definitions change and nobody has a monopoly on the meanings of words. Part of this video reminded me of when people gave Justin Kobylka and Miguel Garcia a hard time for calling the Leopard Enchi Lavender a Starburst because "Starburst" used to refer to a different combo. Could you imagine if the first person to hatch a mojave/lesser coined the term Blue Eyed Lucy and tried to convince people that all other combos that make a BEL can't be called a BELs. Too funny. Great video though! I always look forward to your videos.

Well, you'd be wrong in doing so. I've cited multiple sources including the person the MJ line was named for and the person who coined the phrase "lightning pied"... MARKUS JAYNE! He just made an IG post this morning stating that ONLY MJ axanthic pieds are lightning pieds. I agree that definitions change, and some older morphs go by the wayside. I don't see how this is one of those things though. Axanthic lines are not compatible. They all have their subtle differences. Lightning pied was attributed to the specific axanthic line "MJ", by the originator of the line, Markus Jayne. I don't understand how you're the 3rd person now that refuses to listen to logic and facts just because you like doing it your way.... but I guess that's a microcosm of our society at this point.

Hi 👋 I am breeding ballpython in S.Korea. I have a pair of lightening pied. But male have not interest in mating. And My friend has same problem. So we are suspicious of their reproductive potential. I want to listen your opinion. Have you ever been bred lightening pied from lightening pied? (not with het)

Yes, they can breed that way. Maybe your male isnt ready yet.
